...when the ML tried to lock the FL down while he was in prison. he said wait for me and I laughed! but what made it even better was FL's response. I liked that.

first of all, my girl Min Zhi served in every damn scene. best wardrobe design i've seen in a modern drama in years, short or full series. loved the FL's vibe and want more! the chemistry and tension were good, even if the main leads weren't allowed a real romance. this was a fun ride for a revenge story, even as it had a lil edge. I did find it funny when...(spoiler below)

This all sounds familiar. I remember feeling similarly about the female lead but can't quite remember why, may have had to do with my personal feelings about her choices. But your summary is making me think about a rewatch at some point. Hope you've found something interesting since.

If you're so inclined, would be curious to know how you find Secrets of the Shadow Sect. Please manage your expectations! It has all the usual short falls of a short drama. I've watched Wonderland of Love and remember liking it more than expected at first but being disappointed by something by the end, can't quite remember which part. I think it had something to do with the decisions the FL lead made, might have contributed to some of the side characters getting killed? My memory is very fuzzy. But I think I remember appreciating the ML's conflict of not wanting to rule but the FL wanting him to take on the responsibility. Now that you remind me, that was kinda similar to DandD (if my faulty memory can be trusted).
