hoon acting obtuse isn’t helping. i get that he’s overwhelmed and afraid of ruining his friendship with bawoo but the cat’s already out of the bag so he needs to acknowledge it. bawoo sucks at expressing his feelings and is clearly terrified of rejection so hoon really has to meet him halfway like either way, avoiding it will only push bawoo further away. if hoon keeps pretending he doesn’t understand, it’ll still end in distance and hurt. the best path forward is for them to recognize each other’s feelings and have an honest conversation and then they can decide how to move on.

i can empathize with both of them. namping probably didn’t want to burden X or have their final moments overshadowed by grief or pity and i think it’s a very human instinct wanting to protect the people we love in the way we think is best but i do feel for X. he was denied the truth, kept in the dark the whole time and never had the chance to properly say goodbye. he probably had so much he wanted to say… and he would’ve wanted to be there for him if he had known but he didn’t even get the choice. so yes namping’s actions were selfish in a way but they weren’t malicious.tbh i don’t think anyone can fully understand why he acted the way he did unless they’ve been in that kind of situation. people deal with things differently and sometimes it’s just not black and white.

liking a show or supporting the actors doesn’t mean we should ignore harmful writing choices. when shows use sexual assault as a plot device without accountability or depth, it sends the wrong message, especially in a genre that already struggles with handling consent.

i hate how they’re trying to give johnny a redemption arc like why frame him as the villain in the first place if they’re just going to brush past what he did to akin? just because he backed down and didn’t actually rape akin doesn’t erase the fact that he still took advantage of an intoxicated person who never consented. he sexually assaulted him and now we’re supposed to view him as morally grey and worthy of sympathy? it’s so frustrating. this is my issue with a lot of bls, they use sexual assault for temporary shock value or to manufacture cheap angst between the characters and then they either sweep it under the rug, force a redemption, or pretend it was never that serious to begin with. if you can’t handle writing sensitive topics with the gravity they deserve, you shouldn’t be writing them at all.

no like i get that they were meant to be the heart of the story like nobody gaf about the tennis subplot and i can see why it would be even more upsetting for those who have read the manhwa and were hoping for a faithful adaptation but i tuned in every week fully knowing what to expect, it was pretty obvious where the show was heading 2 episodes in and i think that’s why i was able to enjoy the show a lot more than most

damn not me being the only one excited for the final episode like im sawrryy heesu and sungwon's scenes make up for everything else and i love me a slow burn idgaf that they dragged the confession scene until the last episode

the way jihoon never really questions bawoo directly. he gets curious and confused but instead of asking him, he asks everyone except him and just fills in the blanks with his own assumptions. like why is he never curious enough to go to the actual source? and bawoo instantly starts pulling away the moment jihoon asks the “wrong” questions like he genuinely believes he’s being clear and jihoon’s just too slow (which to be fair he kind of is) or uninterested to get it. it’s a cycle of silence and assumptions at this point.

can they just properly COMMUNICATE omg 😭😭 jihoon needs to stop assuming things and just ask and bawoo needs to be clear, straightforward and most of all stop ignoring jihoon the moment he thinks it’s not going to work out!!

i didn’t expect to cry so much while watching this 😭 I NEED SEASON 2!!!!
