Actors and addresses don't have to look pretty. They are not after all fashion models. Their job is to portray convincingly different characters no matter how these characters are supposed to look like. Pretty or ugly, young or old, good or bad etc. So looks have nothing to do with acting.
So many Korean actors do not have the face to pull off a beard. This guy's beard reminds me Byun Yo Han's in Mr.…
They don't have the face because most of them get way too much plastic surgery very nearly on in order to retain their post adolescent youthful looks. Rugged faces are a no no in South Korean culture. And when they get a fake beard for a role they look like children maskerade into Santa Claus.
Security personnel is there to protect the celebrities from any harm and takes orders from other people that are…
I would appreciate if you could read my other comments on the same discussion in order to have a better idea about what are the stakes on regard of the security on public spaces and events in France this summer. To repeat what I have already mentioned on my other comments and replies, France is hosting the Olympic Games and the security measures are the strictest ever as the/ any incident on any event could raise concerns about the security of the Games. Cannes film festival was one of the events that were affected. It is unforunate that these celebrities were unaware of the situation and they misunderstood the very strict security measures as acts of racism, but on the other hand, Olympic Games is not any kind of insignificant athletic event in order not to have a clue about how such kind of games can affect the security on all other public gatherings, festivals etc.
No usher acts on its own. There are cameras everywhere and people checking the crowd from above and in case you…
We can analyze the security policies of each event for...years! But I think that we agree that the claims about racism have no ground and came from the exact same people that wouldn' t be able to walk fast enough to escape knife attacks, bullets or granates. Some people are pretty fast to call out an/ any - ism without having a clue about the situation.
That bouncer couldn't protect anyone, she wasn't even looking for assailants and she's manhandling our beloved…
France is hosting the Olympic Games this year. So Cannes security was directly related with that of the Olympic Games because an incident in Cannes would rise concerns for the security standarts at the Olympic Games with whatever consequences that could have. That is how it goes. Now the ushers could and would be allowed to carry weapons if they were policemen or part of the security bodyguards. But this wouldn't look that good I mean armed ushers on the entrance stairs. So they were not armed but this doesn't mean that there were no armed people all over the place. As I said previously the main idea is to have the most strict security but out of sight. I agree about the rest you' ve said.
That bouncer couldn't protect anyone, she wasn't even looking for assailants and she's manhandling our beloved…
She is not armed, none of these ushers are because it is not needed. The whole place is guarded by hundreds of heavily armed people. And there are cameras everywhere even in the toilets! I know that because my brother worked for the security of the Olympic Games and he described to me how they organized the whole thing. Total security but out of sight. There are armed agents on the stairs too but dressed up appropriately to mix with the rest. If anything happened even if one of these celebrities misbehaved they would have interfered instantly. They know who is who up in the stairs they use face identification software but that doesn't make them less causious to random atracks from people that might have managed to get into the festival legally. Anyway. These incidents had to do with the security of the guests and they were not by any means acts of racism. And it is unfair to accuse them for racism. The guests, celebrities or not, should instead be gratefull to all these people who work so hard to keep them safe and allow them to enjoy the festival worryfree.
That bouncer couldn't protect anyone, she wasn't even looking for assailants and she's manhandling our beloved…
This woman is there to protect them. Even standing long up on the stairs for publicity photos exposes these celebrities to a potential gun shot. I understand that foreign celebrities are unaware of the situation but the security team is not there to give them an account of what is going on (and how afterall?) but to protect them efficiently. And I' d like to point also out thaf this festival is attented by countless foreign actors and generally film people from all over the world that are all subjects to the same rules. None of them ever complained about racism from the security personnel. The ushers of the entrance take orders from the people behind the security cameras and the rooftops. These know better what is going on on at the crowdy entrance and all attendants, celebrities or others should trust them and not behave arrogantly like they know better because if something nasty happens can potentially damage their film careers. A knife slash on any of these celebrities faces and that's it. Tbey are done. Finished ...out off film industry.
No usher acts on its own. There are cameras everywhere and people checking the crowd from above and in case you…
It is impossible for the authorities to know the intentions of everyone present in such an event. The majority of such knife attacks happened by people who were above any suspicion. People that looked normal. Regular people f.e walking in the streets or attenting an event as audience. There are several videos of such kind of attacks if you want to get an idea. There is also the video of the assasination of Japanese ex prime minister Abe was his name if I remember well who was shot by someone who was attenting his speach. That happened because his security had no idea that such attacks can happen.
So the security policy of this festival is that none of the celebrities are allowed to stand among any kind of crowd, wherever they see this crowd assembled, and they are not allowed to stay for that long on the stairs where they can easily become a target by anyone that might have a pistol or similar weapon. And that applies to everyone. It is unfortunate that some foreign celebrities misinterpret that as racism. I understand how they feel as they are unaware of the danger, but their safety is more important than the publicity judging also by the recent very nasty insidents.
That bouncer couldn't protect anyone, she wasn't even looking for assailants and she's manhandling our beloved…
Her job is not to look. There are others who do so. Her job is to guide the celebrities according to the orders she receives from the people who observe the crowds from above, away from any potential danger. It is not visible in the photos bur she wears an ear thing and she is constantly in communication with the security. The people on the roofs have a better view and idea of what is going on in the entrance and the stairs, the crowd and the reporters and try to keep the celebrities as safe and away of any potential danger as possible. Glass corridors wouldn' t allow the photographers to take good publicity photos. These celebrities can' t have everything. Security and unrestricted access to the crowd and the reporters. Check btw the video with the knifeman at Manheim Germany to get an idea of what the security people try to prevent.
Security personnel is there to protect the celebrities from any harm and takes orders from other people that are behind the security cameras or observe the crowd from above. They don't act on their own and do what they are ordered to do from those who can see what is going on in the crowd at any given time.
I don't know if you read on the news about the recent attacks in France and Germany. The article claims that the behavior of the security was racist but what if someone attacked Im Yoon Ah or any other celebrity with a knife on the face as someone did into the crowd a few days ago in Germany and killed eventually a cop?
I'm of the opinion that it is better for the celebrities to be safe than sorry. Not to mention that if something went wrong and there was indeed an attack then all these celebrities who call the security racists, would have blamed the Cannes Festival organizers for not providing adequate protection to them. To conclude. We don't play with security things. When ushers push celebrities away from the crowd then you can be certain that this is an order from "above" from those who are all around the roofs or behind the security cameras.
P.S those who are stationed on the roofs are armed and are allowed to shot in case of an attack.
That Cannes festival staff veteran 100% sounds like a cop backing up a fellow cop after they shot an unarmed black…
No usher acts on its own. There are cameras everywhere and people checking the crowd from above and in case you don't know there were a couple of knife attacks recently in France and Germany. So the security measures are very strict. Would you prefer to see your favorite celebrity hacked in the face with a knife? Because that was the case in the recent attack in Germany and Cannes festival of course is definitely a target.
As expected, the Cannes will defend the action of that staff despite it being obvious that there was a clear difference…

They always want to send their children to SNU or something which is why they need to attend a physical school
There are countless private and very prestigious physical schools. Why bother to make their own that is actually no different than home schooling and it will need decades to establish some kind of reputation. What's wrong with Eton, or St. Andrew’s for example....? Or some Swiss boarding schools? Rhetoric questions just for fun as some drama plots are nonsensical from the very beginning. :)
So according to the plot description Jooshin High School is established by the conglomerate Jooshin Group and the students are their children and some others. If that is the case then why they don't home school their own children?! lol Each their own.
He was released on 19th of March (2024). That much punishment for a guy who pleaded guilty for eleven rapes.
You are the one who's doing so while you don't even know what my skin color is. lol You' ve came up to the conclusion that I' m white and westerner and also Canadian (LOL that is very funny indeed) out of the blue and you projected on me all your prejudices towards western white people like there are no other people with pale skin all over the world.
Meanwhile and funny as it can get is the fact that your favorite actors list is full of Korean and Chinese people that all, if you didn't notice, have pale skin. The palest there is.
You are a very funny litlle racist dear probably because you don't like your own skin colour. Not because the/ any skin colour indicates who is who. As such I feel really sorry for you. Don' t bother to answer back. I don' t like to talk with people that have such sort of complexes. And I'm not here to offer the psycological therapy that you obviously desperately need. Try to contact a professional. Over and out...

You have some serious issues with skin colours eh?. Haven't anyone ever told you to not judge the books by their cover? But then again..this would require to know what a book is in the first place...! I mean that there is no point to expect any better by uneducated and uncultivated persons of your ilk.
He was released on 19th of March (2024). That much punishment for a guy who pleaded guilty for eleven rapes.
I'm not interested about your prejudice towards westerners. I don't care either about your opinion on Canada. You were the one who brought up the subject about Krish Wu. I didn't even know who this guy is. You brought the subject and asked for my opinion and now that you don' t like the answer you' ve got you call me names and you are trying to engage me in a discussion about your own prejudices. I don't know who you are and I don' t care about your opinions. They are yours and I have mine. The rest you've said are pure speculations and a failed attempt to engage me in a off topic discussion that is not of my concern. Very old school internet concept. Very very old..... He looks better than ever before. Even better than he looked like back in his thirties.
