I feel she has a massive inferiority complex especially against Fei Ni. It's not just about the housing and university quota anymore. Even when she reads Fei Ni's brother's article (which Fei Ni wrote), she loses it because of the big words she can't understand. Fei Ni's design sketches did her no harm but still she was visibly burning with jealousy. She just sucks up to higher authorities and got into uni. But Fei Ni is smarter, kinder, talented and hard working than she ever could be. She is just that dumb superior at workplace who can't beat you through good work so resort to evil scheming to make your life hell.

she gets worse in later episodes but unfortunately we are still waiting to see her get what she deserves... hopefully soon!!

Anyways I'm sooo excited for this drama!!!

some seem to have misunderstood that epilogue as leads not having a happy ending during Joseon period. But that's not correct. ML decides not to have a royal wedding as King and wants to hold the throne for his nephew. He doesn't care about minister's pressure and the common people are rooting for leads. FL waits for him and as promised wears the silk shoes in the last scene when he is ready to be together. Even while waiting, he still regularly spends time with fl and goes on secret dates. The epilogue is about her wish to be together in the next life coming true, so they get HE in two different lives.

They swap twice. First in ep 5-6 and second time during ep 11-12

ML falls for her pretty quickly, open about his feelings and even proposes marriage in ep7. FL likes him but due to her personal life and social class difference, she doesn't express. They get together officially as couple only in the last 2 episodes but their relationship develop consistently throughout.
No misunderstanding as such but both hide stuff about them from each other which gets revealed during the body swap. No breakup. Once they get together even the pressure of palace politics didn't deter them. And we also get a beautiful epilogue!!

I was disappointed coz that's the point we realise the story world is making Yu become ruthless just like Dan became the mad tyrant but then Dan stops her and says 'you don't have to change, I will do the dirty work for you'.

In original novel East Wind Blooms Thousand Flowers, Prince Duan and Yu Wanyin are lead characters. Yu falls in love with Duan during the lantern festival and helps him to overthrow Dan. Xie is just a side character who became cannon fodder. So Dan and Xie dies in this story.

In Devil's Beloved Consort (level 1 transmigration), a modern character Chunchun transmigrates into the novel East Wind with full knowledge of the plot. She realises she is the character Xie who bound to die in the end. To change her fate, she aligns with Duan and plots against Yu. She aids him with her knowledge of the plot to overthrow Dan. So Dan and Yu dies and are buried together. Imo, Devil's beloved consort refers to Xie for being the transmigrator and becoming lead of the story.

I think this shooting wrapped up late 2023. He is yet to choose any drama projects after ADWAD. He is still busy with his concert tour and likely to shoot for variety shows Truth and Wow the world.

I really hope the drama has more than a single scene in real world. Her boss who bought the novel copyright in ep1 must be Zhang San.

In the novel, we get an epilogue chapter in real world about fl finding and meeting ml. He becomes a successful CEO and actually facilitates her transmigration. He buys the novel rights to produce it as drama and makes it is popular in 2026 so that she would read it and transmigrate.

Comments saying cases are predictable is funny coz only one case is closed which was also spoiled by mdl synopsis. Also this is investigation procedural rather than a whodunit.

yeah he is waiting in real world over 10 years for her to enter the novel and experience it. He waited 10 years for her arrival in the novel and after he gets back,, he again waited for 10 years.

They joint-rule the Xia Kingdom, so after ML dies in the book, FL is the Empress for sometime. Then their son (yes, they had a kid!) is crowned and FL travels the world before she dies of old age. She also realises the book world and its characters exists on their own and will continue to exist. After her death, she returns to the exact moment she transmigrated in the subway. So ML had already retuned to his school days and was waiting over 10 years in the real world for her.
