I think this shooting wrapped up late 2023. He is yet to choose any drama projects after ADWAD. He is still busy with his concert tour and likely to shoot for variety shows Truth and Wow the world.

I really hope the drama has more than a single scene in real world. Her boss who bought the novel copyright in ep1 must be Zhang San.

In the novel, we get an epilogue chapter in real world about fl finding and meeting ml. He becomes a successful CEO and actually facilitates her transmigration. He buys the novel rights to produce it as drama and makes it is popular in 2026 so that she would read it and transmigrate.

Comments saying cases are predictable is funny coz only one case is closed which was also spoiled by mdl synopsis. Also this is investigation procedural rather than a whodunit.

yeah he is waiting in real world over 10 years for her to enter the novel and experience it. He waited 10 years for her arrival in the novel and after he gets back,, he again waited for 10 years.

They joint-rule the Xia Kingdom, so after ML dies in the book, FL is the Empress for sometime. Then their son (yes, they had a kid!) is crowned and FL travels the world before she dies of old age. She also realises the book world and its characters exists on their own and will continue to exist. After her death, she returns to the exact moment she transmigrated in the subway. So ML had already retuned to his school days and was waiting over 10 years in the real world for her.

If its following the novel, then this is just a mere speculation and 2nd ML is just a 2D character. She's just having an existential crisis!!
Since Yu finds Dan has transmigrated, she suspects Duan could also be from their world. As Duan is extremely smart, suspicious and meticulous (like changing minor details in Xie's plans), she gets doubtful but she'll figure out soon.

Yeah, you are right! It's two levels of transmigration so Xie despite a paper doll is above other characters like Duan. Yu and Dan being real people are on higher level than Xie. But Yu is the only one who is aware of the whole plot (even Dan doesn't know because he transmigrated before reading it).

In the novel Devil's Beloved Consort, Xie's modern character transmigrates into the novel called East Wind Blooms Thousand Flowers where Yu Wanyin is fl and Duan the ml. Xie's character is the original cannon fodder (side character) but to change her fate, she competes with Yu, guides Duan with her knowledge of the script of East Wind and makes herself the fl. So effectively Xie is also a paper doll, written to take Yu's place and become the lead along with Duan.
Yu has transmigrated a level above and so she is going off script.

In the novel, Lin Huan Er remains deeply devoted to her bf even after Gao Haiming falls for her. She stays true to the bf, gets him a job and supports him until he dumps her. The system rules are the main framework of the novel so she cannot initiate the break up (already failed once when he paged her for money). Since she already knows the outcome and to save time, she started working to get GHM fall for her to go back home.

yeah he tested the materials on his hand which we see in the ppt pic. He takes his work seriously unlike his board members who likes the profit from their products but still prejudiced.

He doesn't need to tear them apart cz Zhi Yu is doing that by himself. Hu Xiu is handling everything in a very matured and professional way. She bluntly told PZ she knows he is interested in Zhi Yu and not her. Seems PZ is now starting to like her genuinely.

it's fine to drop if you are not enjoying it but whatever you saw was mistranslation. it was goddess of ethics (not seduction) cz she teaches ethics. in the flashback she was clearly drunk and not consciously flirting. ml was repeating it so she will recognise him (not out of context but that we only see partial story at that moment)

loved this season but the last episode was all over the place and no logic in such a serious case. Kim Do Gi is excellent in combat but he jumped off instead of tackling the gun out of the bad guy.
