Oh Lord, he's too too hot

Was scrolling through my gallery and found some gifs which made me miss this drama a lot
Still one of my favourites. I see my comments were buried because it've been long since I've come here, so I'll repeat myself:
This is not a classic romcom. There are many cliches indeed, but the writer used it all to create a whole complex story. Don't hate the main lead right away, he's much more than some rude actions. Please pay attention to every scene, they all say something about the characters' interior world. Enjoy the soundtrack, there are no bad songs in it. Appreciate the photography, it's so pretty. It's really a good drama. I hope yall can give it a chance

This story is more realist than most romance dramas out there. It's also much more complex.
The thing about Shen Yi is that he is a 3D character. He's not a bad person or "trash", he just isn't perfect. He has his own issues and the drama makes sure you know it. Like the way he did everything for Meng Hui when he thought she was the girl, how he would always say "as long as she is happy" when doing something that he didn't enjoy just to make her happy, he was putting her above everything out of fault. He was just a kid when everything happened and never got a chance to apologize, so he grew feeling that guilty more and more as years went by. If you pay attention, you will realize his action are always very well explained by his mindset.
But I get you till some extent, I hated him many times too lol I just loved the writer's writing sooo much, she did such a great job with all the emotional stuff that I could easily forgive Shen Yi for his bad actions. He deserved it

Actually, this happens with j/c/tw dramas too. Drama fans have this weird thing where they expect every drama to be like a kdrama or else it's bad zzzzzzzz

The investigation part was very cool, it didn't tire me out - something really rare. There weren't really holes in it, but some clichés could've been avoided, it would make the story much better
I wanted more romance, but the rhythm wasn't tiresome or anything, I just liked them so much that I wanted more
Not a perfect drama, but very good anyways. Recommended!

I like the characters way more here, it's also much more cute and funny

If you like romcoms with CEO, there's this one airing called She Is The One. Male lead is that old abusive CEO formula but it's a "light" version and the drama is actually hilarious nonsense after nonsense, the twin sisters plot isn't bad either - at least we didn't have a super dramatic twist until now

Seems like just a poster, not a false advertising tho, it just showcase what both of them can do musicaly, posters usually don't show real scenes

cdramas are like this, they just don't care, they always end the episode in the middle of a scene
I'm used now, tho, makes you more curious to see what's coming next and is not as dramatic as other countries end their episodes

Very cute, funny and fun to watch. I loved how they dealt with the celebrity thing, it made miss Intense Love hehe

Totally different dramas, but both have cute main couples. I'd recommend you both

Best drama about chinese fashion and embroidery I've watched - it was so beautiful and entertaining. Some secundary characters were boring and annoying, but I'm glad the writer was good enough to not forget to show the ending of each of them. The main couple was sooooo good tho, such a strong chemistry and natural acting! Loved it

Their acting is very good for their first drama.
I love the soundtracks. The story could be better but I still loved how it went from past to future and to watch ho they grew and learned with each other. I specially loved the monologues, they were really pretty

I only saw WeTV Philippines promoting the drama so I'm not sure it'll be available worldwide on WeTV, but I also found the drama on iQiyi's app so it may be up there for countries where it's not up on WeTV

This is the reason why I wanted to skip this drama, but Hans x Xulu pairing was too promissing, I couldnt hold myself back lol
