I read this on Tumblr and wanted to share ““It’s a reinvention,” says Neil about his own adaptation. “I am old enough, and have seen enough things fail, to know that we’re not filming the novel. But what I can do is acknowledge that I’m making telly, and to say to people, ‘Yes, some of your favorite moments will probably only be in the book, but I will give you other favorite moments, and you will have some new favorite moments that didn’t exist before. Is that a deal?’ And that’s kind of the way I approached it. It’s the television draft, and I crafted it like a love story with attention to the relationship between Aziraphale and Crowley.””
By far my favorite lakorn till now! Apart from very few problems, everything is perfect. I specially loved the pacing, it was all so entertaining that I didn't even skip scenes, something that I've been doing a lot lately. I have no words for the casting (amazing acting!) and script, really really good. And can we take a moment to appreciate Yaya and Nadech's chemistry? A real-life-talented couple really hits different. I highly, highly recommend
Although I could totally understand Sathit, I hated him for 80% of the drama lol He was a total jerk to Jee, this angel. They were cute together tho and it piss me off that in 80% of their scenes they were almost killing each other The misunderstandings were sooooooooooooo annoying and I'd be 100000% happy if Peak had died, this psychopath I could finish it in 2 days because of how many scenes I skipped lol
If I hadn't read the novel then I might have liked this. The idea of expanding on what happens within the internet…
I disagree. I don't like every change but I like most of it. The CGI is AMAZING. I didn't like Chen Guo's change because she got annoying but she wasn't bad written nor was Ye Xiu, you just "almost didn't recognize them". Ye Xiu forming Happy and fighting his way through misfortune and strong rivals to reach the top of Glory is still there, and so is the "heart and soul and excitement", you just can't see it because you wanted a copy of the novel
