well, a family slaughtering is always a strong scene, but it is quite a common story in period dramas. it would have bigger impact if it happened after a few episodes, when we get to actually know the family. now it will be a lot of political stuff for zang hai growing. the writing needs to step up otherwise it won't hold on for long.

basically sk accepted to build an usa anti-missile system that could hit china and china retaliate by banning everything korean, specially their entertainment, which china was a huge part of their income. korean celebs were banned from promoting in china, and so all the sino-korean dramas were put on hold.

the thing that keeps you are my glory as my favorite second chance drama is how they were able to make us feel for it's characters from the first ep and put them together without clichés that are annoying, it is a very mature and realist while also being lovely and idealist. other sc that came out afterwards all fail to work out. they're not sad, they're just freaking annoying. if they gonna be full of bs, just don't make them a couple again, geez
