This is not it. They've solved part of their conflict - XQ knows she failed SY and, with her confession, he knows she did try for them. Now they can't go on into a romantic relationship because of XQ's family, but there's no... open sore? Kinda like it. So they're now in a friendly stage, able to be in each other's life kinda like friends.
I don't think these will be fillers, we already got more of SY's story and I think there will be more of the past shown and more development in XQ and SY's current issues
