No, but really... Why do Chinese writers ALWAYS come up with the "they knew each other back when they were kids"…
I do believe some people are willing to love despite anything. Specially, Song Yan is someone that was able to see through Xu Qin since the beginning (like in the scene he understood she wanted to be called Xu Qin and not Meng Qin), so he knows she's not a bad person. He also knows her family situation and why she's the way she is, he understands her better than anyone.
I don't think the writing is lousy at all. It all makes sense. The characters aren't simple or fickle, the situations aren't simple either. There's nothing rushed and the clichรฉs are very well written, it all makes sense.
Maybe you're not in the mood for this kind of dramatic slow burn, but this has been very good so far
I'm a Xu Qin and Song Yan defender. They can wrong as much as they want to put out their frustration. My babies suffered too much, they deserve to get it out of their chest โ
Might be a weird question, but how much is CCP propaganda here? In these types of dramas always have it, I kind…
Any scene about the greatness of some profession is a propaganda. In the entire cdramaland, the party propaganda isnt much actually, most of them are about the ideals of Chinese society and how they should work hard towards it.
its not mixed, there are many actors from gosf, and wei daxun is in the guest list
nope, that are a bunch of guest roles, even for bigger characters. I guess its because their roles are important but small, hence its better to have these big names as guests instead of regular characters
no. ml's cousin is a girl. the one that got into a scandal was fl's bother. his friend, also fl's friend, was the one that accompanied fl when she went drunk to ml's house. he's the club guy shown in the 3rd ep
it was the female cousin maybe you read a wrong translation, but it was definitely the same character presented here, zhai miao in the scene where fl cries to ml while drunk, there's also fl's friend, he lives near her family house, is closer to her brother and is a playboy.
male lead is angry with fl bcos she brokeup with him due to family pressure? but he knows it wasnt her choice…
its more complicate than this. he almost died at her mother's orders. and I'm not sure if he knows it wasnt her, but he did think she did nothing to be with him
