I want help, i didn't find first 2 episodes interesting, I like the fl and ml's character tho but idk i just can't…
If you are looking for heart fluttering scenes between the leads, then there’s none yet up to episode 6. The story captures the FL’s heartaches as an aftermath of their company’s downfall, the backstabbing of people who she trusted the most and the sense of helplessness she felt as her whole world turned 180degrees. However, the end of episode 6 suggests the start of her rising from the fall where she realize the ML’s grand plan of land acquisition. So, expect further collaboration between the two and maybe the heart fluttering scenes will start from here onwards.
I find the first six episodes captivating though and a good setup for the story’s progress. Though I wanted to fast forward the angst scenes as I am already so tired and felt so sorry for our FL. I wanted to get to the part where she can find that glimmer of hope that will help her get back on her feet. Overall, I am enjoying this drama and there’s something about it that keeps me hooked and entertained.
* Jiang Hu decides to sell off ger designer items, her jealous friends try to humiliate her. *Jiang Hu takes up…
Can you please elaborate what is Xu Si’s land acquisition plan and how Jiang Hu can capitalize on that? I didn’t understand this part. Thank you so much.
Patiently waiting for next episode. I loved the first two episodes so far. These are giving me the laughs I needed the most at the moment. I just feel so sorry for Eun Woo because he has to shoot a scene where he had to bite a dog food just so the "actual dog" will focus on him and kiss him. I think this is the scene in episode1 where FL was dreaming of kissing ML in her dog form. I don't know how many similar scenes are there in the entire series but Eun Woo said he's very uncomfortable shooting that one. Hahaha! So, kudos to Eun Woo for going this far.
Your review is so on point! It summarizes what I have in mind about YAMG. I also didn’t skip a bit even the aerospace scenes as I am also fond of astrophysics and engineering. As of writing, I just finished my second rerun of this drama. I think I giggled more this time than on my first viewing. I was more observant of the tiny details in the drama. I wasn’t aware that this series is a novel adaptation and that the author was the drama’s screenwriter as well. I came across YAMG the first time after watching Yang Yang in The King’s Avatar and Love O2O. Just couldn’t get enough of Yang Yang two years back.
One thing where we differ is with the OST because my fave is Fall in Love which is now part of my playlist. Hehe.
I would say this is the best. I would love if you can recommend any other shows.
I would recommend Crossfire if you're looking for e-sports themed drama with CGIs. Though The TKA's is far better. Still, Crossfire's story is so good I love it as well. Never thought I would love another e-sports themed drama as much as I love TKA.
I am currently in my second run of this drama after watching this a couple of years back. Just like in the past, I thoroughly enjoy watching this drama that has one of the top notch chemistry between the main leads. I also love the healthy relationship of our CP and the fact that the drama offered us a glimpse of an aerospace engineer's life. I believe they are one of the unsung heroes whose contributions to the society's advancement are very crucial and should be lauded. I love the science aspect of this drama and while others find it boring, I find it interesting and educational.
I am a fan of Yang Yang and I was drawn into YAMG after watching him in The King's Avatar (another all-time favorite of mine) and Love O2O. YAMG is the better romance drama for me compared to Love O2O. I remember searching for YT clips of YY and DD before because I still couldn't get enough of their chemistry long after I finished watching the drama. Their romantic scenes really felt so real that I thought they were real life sweethearts. I didn't know any of their background story coming into YAMG so I didn't have any expectations or reservations when I started it. YAMG is really one of the best dramas I have watched so far.
It's really interesting to see how different people opinions are because I, on the other hand, enjoyed every single…
I also enjoyed every single scene in this drama. I am not one of those who got bored because of the science part or the game scenes. I equally enjoyed both. I also love the fact that the CP has a very healthy relationship, no miscommunications, no trust issues, no annoying parents, and even though their careers are polar opposites, what's common is they are both hardworking people who excel in their individual careers.
rewatching and man this drama is really a mood lifter. Stable, secure people in loving, healthy and happy relationship,…
I remember during the time I was watching this show a couple of years back, it really felt that the main leads are real life sweethearts. Their chemistry is top notch and the kiss scenes were so very real it seems they're not acting anymore. This is the best Yang Yang romance drama I've seen so far.
I miss Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu more today! And when I do, I stop by here to say "Tell me are you listening the world is moving fast. Here's all my secrets I hope you like that."
Yes, love the song too (你是我此生唯一所愿 (You Are My Only Wish) -sung by 张碧晨 (Zhang Bichen)-i)…
I am always reminded of the proposal scene whenever I listen to that song which is by the way one of the best proposal scenes ever in dramaland. Six words. Only one person in a lifetime. I melted.
I'm not a big viewer of C drama or K drama. I have watched only a few of them during my 6years of following TV…
Wow! You summed up pretty well all the things I loved about Hidden Love. I am a regular kdrama viewer but not really of cdrama. It was Hidden Love that introduced me to a lot of gems in C-ent. I also started watching HL without knowing any of the actors/actresses in the series (though I was briefly introduced with Zhao Lusi in Who Rules The World but I dropped that drama after one episode since it’s not really my genre).
This is my first time to comment and give a review here in MDL and I'm happy it's about Hidden Love. Here's my two cents.
I haven’t really been INTO Chinese dramas until Hidden Love. I watched a few of them that are really eye catching but it’s very seldom. Hidden Love opened the doors for me to notice other notable C-dramas out there.
SPOILER ALERT!!! What I love about it? 1. The storyline. Hidden Love mastered the art of portraying the spirits of youthful love, like those heart fluttering feelings when you have a secret crush on someone are SPOT ON. It transported me back to the early days of our relationship with my then boyfriend, now husband of which I can relate to the feelings Sang Zhi felt towards Duan Jiaxu because that’s EXACTLY how I felt towards my BF. Apart from that, I love that there are no evil 2nd leads in the story that would challenge the main leads’ relationship as well as there are no overbearing, overprotective parents/family members. I love how they wrapped up the drama with the best marriage proposal ever. Who wouldn’t melt with this line, “Six words. Only one person in a lifetime.” My tears just keep rolling here together with SZ and DJX. 2. The casts. From the main leads to the supporting casts, all of them did their parts exceptionally well. Kudos to the casting team on finding these actors who brought our beloved characters to life! Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan are the perfect Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu, there could be no one other than them. They will forever be immortalized in my system. 3. The OSTs. I think one of the things that made this drama successful are the OSTs played in the series. Seldom do I find a drama where I enjoyed almost all songs included in the official soundtrack. With Hidden Love, all songs felt comfortable to listen to even if I don’t understand the lyrics, the melody are relaxing and sets you in a mood. Zhao Lusi contributed two songs in the OST which I soooo love dearly – “I Just Want To Hide You Secretly” with Silence Wang and “I Have Someone I Like”. Victor Ma who played as Sang Zhi’s brother (Sang Yan) also contributed to the OST with his song “Be Your Light”. 4. The BTS. Their behind-the-scenes interaction can easily become a drama of its own. You can see how happy the atmosphere on set was. If the chemistry of the main leads is already top-notch in the drama, then their BTS is way beyond that which made me pine for them to be a REAL-LIFE couple. They are just sooooo amazing and comfortable with each other.
Hidden Love will forever be my “go to” comfort drama, when I just want to have a relaxing, happy viewing to cap a long, stressful week. As of writing, I am re-watching this series for the third time. And it never disappoints every single time.
