They are so natural with each other! I think that’s what makes the romance so believable and sweet. Their interactions…
Yes, the acting is so natural. Their convo could even pass as an adlib. The simple smirk, the thrill of getting caught, the eye conversation when the guard came over to give them cakes. These are on spot and would definitely how I imagine it would play had I been in their shoes. Really great performance from the actors and of course the director as well!
I couldn’t say thank you enough to all the people behind this masterpiece for giving me something to look forward to everyday. Xie xie!!!
I just read the novel, for me more twisted than the drama. I think the novel did ambiguous ending. Xu Si got injured…
OMG!!! 😱 For real? If Gao Yi is JH’s blood brother, why would he betray JH’s dad? Is what XS doing right now just getting JH on the hook so she’ll fall in love deeper with him then that’s the time he’ll exact perfect revenge? Oh my! But the auntie and mom are very supportive of their relationship. It’s so confusing if we go with that plot.
I’ve a lot of fave scenes in this episode but the one that gave me the most butterflies is their date in TY cafeteria, holding hands under the table, with a conversation that just flows naturally. It’s melting me over and over again. 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
Can we bring back the aggressive Jiang Hu from episode 1 (the one who pulled XS's tie)? We need that same girl…
Please! Because we know the angst is coming anytime soon, can they give us heaven first before hell? Somewhere near what happened in the novel’s first chapter. LOL! 😂
Someone pls help, is this drama really good or is it highly rated because of the actress? I’m thinking about…
It really depends on what you want to see in a drama. I am already more than twice the legal age but I find myself loving this since the first time I watched it back in June (when it was still airing). I watched the series 3x already.
What you can expect in the drama: * It excellently captured the feeling of being in love for the first time during your youthful days. A lot of heart fluttering scenes, sweet moments and eye candies. * No heavy drama, controlling parents, annoying ex-bf/gf. Just pure fluffs. * This drama is suited for relaxation, no mind-boggling, twists & turns of events. * Natural acting between the leads, one would think they are real-life sweetness because of the natural chemistry both Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan had. * Chen Zheyuan is excellent in eye acting where you can literally see his emotions by looking at his eyes. That played in big role in making me feel all the feels like I was transported back in my teenage years. * Beautiful OSTs. This is one of the dramas where the OSTs are so great I have them on repeat in my Spotify library.
In the end, it's up to you if these kinds of drama will click. Not all will be able to appreciate it but I am one of those who will generously give it 10/10 because of how it made me feel while watching it. This drama opened the gates for me to explore other cdramas out there.
P.S. This drama has one of the best proposal, not in terms of production, but on the promise made between the couple. I cried literally the first time I watched that scene.
I am glad that the girls are collaborating but I wish Zhao Yang was not put on a pedestal by everyone. She's developed…
My thoughts.
Her walking out of the meeting is not because of her bloated ego but more on frustration in her part as she couldn’t think of anything that satisfies the current needs of Teng Yue. She also had a lot of pressure on her shoulders knowing how much JH sacrificed to make her Teng Yue’s designer.
Wu Lei on 'Love Like the Galaxy' & 'Nothing But You', Gong Jun on 'Rising With the Wind', Zhang Linghe on 'Flourish…
I agree on Gong Jun in Rising With The Wind. He has the most expressive eyes here. Eyes that convey wit, intellect and emotions. I haven't seen the other dramas you mentioned.
I am contemplating watching this, but I have a question.... I keep seeing people say this drama was "cute", and…
This drama is cute because it is a young romance drama full of fluffs and heart fluttering moments depicting the emotions of young first love. The girl is only 19years old (freshman university student) when the romance kicks in.
The kiss scenes are sweet and tender but not innocent at all. However, it couldn't be categorized as racy, too. It's more of a first kiss, explorative type.
I am way past my teenage years, more than twice the legal age. So, from your criteria, I guess I am qualified to answer your question, right? :)
Didn’t know the romance part would check so many wrong boxes in my book.Kissing a girl while she is completely…
This is another different and a welcome perspective. It's a well-thought of criticism about the character's value and the romance aspect of the story with supporting reasons on why you felt that way. This is something worthy of respect even though it is a differing thought from mine.
Here are my two cents on some of the concerns you raised. "Kissing a girl while she is completely drunk" - Xu Si is wrong here but in real life situations, it would be extremely difficult to refuse the temptation especially since he already had feelings for Jiang Hu. And Jiang Hu here was literally throwing herself to him, although one might argue she was not in control of her actions due to alcohol. Still, human instinct kicks in for Xu Si and his response, though morally wrong, is something understandable.
"Force kiss her when the previous day she refused to kiss him." - I don't take it as Jiang Hu being forced to kiss Xu Si and I think she already knew what was coming for her on that day Xu Si visited her at the wake of dawn. She didn't dodge it or walk away from it and instead she kissed him back for more than a few seconds which indicates that it was a welcome kiss and somehow gives Xu Si the idea that the feeling is mutual. She refused to kiss him the other night not because she doesn't feel the same way as Xu Si but because of her reservations in taking their relationship to the next stage.
"All this when just few days ago she said that she is in love with someone else!" - She was drunk at that time and could be talking about the past already.
That dance scene kept focusing on their feet was mesmerising and beautifully done. Both actors did it so well…
i thought i heard him say something like why she doesn't know how to dance now? remember they danced in episode1. hehehe! i got a LSS on the background music during their dance. the one with a "lalalalalala" lyrics. haha! could pass as an OST.
