I don't see the need to compare this drama with other dramas whether American or Asian dramas. I rate dramas based on how it makes me feel while watching it. I love dramas that make sense, that have good dialogues, smooth plot transition, and those that can make you think and learn something out of it. Here, can you honestly say that you are getting something from it? Maybe if we'll try to throw logic away and just accept it for what it is, then it should have a higher score. But remember, not all people are watching this just for the romance and comedy and nothing else. Many people wants a drama that is logical in all aspects it is presenting. Even if there are flaws in the storytelling, it should not be glaring enough to the point that people will criticize those flaws. This drama failed in that department. One of the glaring mistakes this writer did is to repeat a plot over and over again like there are no other plots it can present.

Case#1: When both leads are in the moment, just seconds away from kissing, they get interrupted either by a phone call or someone else and then the FL will run away. This plot keeps repeating throughout the drama.
Case#2: When FL is saying something else in her mind but ended up saying something else in reality, this plot is overused as well.

Also, there are plots that don't align with my values like for me, it's the FL who did wrong to ML but why is it she appears to be the victim? It just doesn't make sense. How can I love this kind of writing?

I hope you just don't invalidate the points that are raised by all viewers here who are dissatisfied with this drama just because you are convinced that this is great for your taste. I also won't contest how you feel about it because it's your own opinion. But to say that all those leaving negative comments here are antis or part of that YXH whatever, that's not true. I honestly love all the actors in this drama and I respect their craft but I cannot say a drama is good when it is really not.

You will know if comments are coming from antis if they only want to spread hate and their criticisms are not valid but for those who genuinely give honest criticisms about the drama, I hope they will not be crucified for saying what's on their minds.

I'm sorry but I don't care about other dramas. When I review and rate a drama, it is for exactly what that drama offers. There is no perfect drama but there are dramas that will really make you happy and proud you didn't waste your time. I didn't feel it here because the script is just trash especially for the main leads' arc. And as I pointed out in the above comment, a lot of plots are repetitive like the screenwriter doesn't have anything else to write so he/she just have to recycle the same plot. I really hate to give any dramas a low rating because of the hardwork the team put into, especially the actors who for all who knows even have a few hours of sleep just to give us a pleasurable viewing experience. But with OFL, I'm sorry but 5/10 is already a generous deal. Imagine if the casts in this drama are not as stellar (newbies or lesser known actors) as the current ones, would the rating be the same? I don't think so. I would guess it will easily drop to 6 or 7.

This drama is so lucky to have actors who are great in their craft. Otherwise, it will be a complete flop. What a waste of talent.

I don't contest that there are really antis who will leave bad comments on dramas but when a lot of people, and I mean A LOT, have the same opinion about a certain drama, isn't it telling that the drama failed to capture their hearts either through bad script, bad editing, bad acting or all of the above? As for me, the acting is good because of the great actors in this drama but the script is really bad coupled with bad editing.

I'm curious what would Jiang Hu do when at the onset, Xu Si will tell her that if she did well by increasing Teng Yue's value, she will catch Aneda's radar and end up being acquired? Will she still give her best shot like what we saw or will she give up?

I could only guess that Qin Shiyue didn't know Shu Yi lied to Shi Yan that's why she said those things. If she knew what Shu Yi did, I don't think she will utter those words.

Agree. Imagine if lesser known actors starred in this drama, the ratings might be between 6-7 or even lesser. Facts! I rate this drama 5/10 just for the efforts from the actors. They did well for the script they were given. But even great actors cannot salvage this drama.

I'm sorry to disagree but not all those who leave negative comments here are antis. There are those who genuinely love the actors in this drama, myself included. But the writing is just CRAP. Not even the actors can salvage this drama. Sorry.

The script is really terrible. I love all the actors in the drama and I respect their craft. It's just that the sloppy directing and crappy script are the problem. A lot of scenes are repetitive like when both leads are in the moment, just seconds away from kissing, something will interrupt them either a phone call or someone then FL will run or hide somewhere. Once is fine but to have this scene repeated over and over again like is there nothing else you can give us? Cringe!

Then they made the angst/breakup too long when previously ML is willing to accept that FL approached him for his money (or so he thought) but when he learned the truth that he was used as a revenge tool, it seems to take him forever to forgive his "one and only love". The writer also made FL a very unlikable character. She knew she was wrong but she made herself look like the victim. When she had the chance to talk to ML face-to-face, all she talked about is work even when she was already told that ML was hurt because instead of apologizing for the wrong thing she did, it seems she only apologize in the hopes that their collaboration with her digital magazine will not get affected.

I could easily give this drama a rating below 5 if not only for the efforts of the casts who played their roles so well. What a waste of talent.

We might have differing opinion on this matter. I find FL very manipulative. She approached ML with a bad intention - to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend who cheated on her. She flirts with ML endlessly resulting to ML falling in love with her. He cared for her truly and did a lot of things for FL. Even when he heard the conversation between FL and her bestfriend about their lies and he thought FL was after his money, he is willing to accept the fact just to be with her. The ML here is the one who carried the relationship not the other way around.

Ohhh, that's great to hear. Thanking the director and screenwriter for making the drama a lot sweeter than the novel. I keep raving about how fantastic this drama is and I keep lurking here in the comments section every now and then as I still couldn't let go of my beloved characters.

There's also a scene at episode4 where Xu Si forced Jiang Hu to ride his car in the passenger seat and when she's already inside the car, she hurriedly went to the backseat and told him her address like she would with a typical hired taxi driver. When she arrived at her house, she paid him like you do with Uber/Grab. Typical drama would be FL looking like a damsel in distress, just following what ML will say/do.

I am quite happy with the ending. It's not crappy for me. All loose ends were tied neatly.

When Xu Si was following Jiang Hu after their unintentional meetup outside Lidu Department Store. Typical ML will roam the streets on foot, usually under the rain, hopelessly searching for the FL. Here, Xu Si followed her on a taxi. Smart guy indeed!

When Xu Si saw Jiang Hu together with Wu, typical ML will pull FL to his side out of jealousy. Here, he silently watch their interaction even though the hurt was evident in his eyes.
