Absolutely Loving this drama so far... Kinda worried as they're together so fast (read comment that novel is same)...…
In the novel, there is no breakup. It's a healthy relationship where ML is very respectful of the FL while FL revered the ML so much. So far, the drama stayed close to the novel. Hopefully, the scriptwriter will not add unnecessary plots just to extend this drama.
Heâs a business person - keeps a clear line between business and personal matters.even his mom canât stand…
Oohhh. I was watching this drama while it was still airing and I still feel like 40episodes are not enough for this. Hang in there as this is the first modern drama I watched that doesn't follow the normal trope. Perfect blend of business and romance genre.
Zhaoyang's name was dragged through mud by one of the workers of TT media who was jealous of her popularity and the attention she was getting from both bosses.... So he posted a picture of Zhao Yang and Xu Si implying that Zhao Zhang is a mere puppet of a big investor... From there on netizens dug up dirt on her personal life related to her mother and everything escalated.. She basically lost the trust of her subscribers... This situation is very true to life which we often see happening to many celebrities.
TO BE CLEAR.....Zhaoyang is more honest than most other influencers in the TT media......At the negotiations table for the job she put her foot down on things she was NOT willing to do, she was not ready to compromise her ideals just for money.. But smear campaigns do not SPARE EVEN THE WORTHY.
To explain Xu Si and Zhao Yang's collaboration as per my understanding:
These days, big companies are using influencers to sell products... Now these influencers have a big following of fans who hang on their words and worship them... So when an influencer suggests buying a product almost all fans/subscribers jump on that band wagon... Xu Si has collaborated with T T media to help strategic sales of goods as this is the new method of selling goods directly to end users, the customers.
Zhoayang is good at what she does, creative designs so if given proper channeling to her talent she could draw in customers for the companies she chose to collaborate...... Now these influencers and companies sponsoring these influencers (TT media) get some % of sales value or lump some payment from companies( sellers) they are collaborating with.
Credibility of the influencer is very important, customers want to follow and like an influencer who is 'HONEST AND PURE ' when it comes out that the influencer they trust is a mere puppet of a big investor(xu si) and not sharing products they use but are just trying to generate sales by using the subscribers love for them, it starts creating hatred from them... Once a bad article is posted, everyone else starts digging up more dirt on them.... Everyone likes to throw mud at others... We see this happening to many celebrities online.. ... An influencer whose reputation is ruined cannot be used to coax people to purchase items they make or recommend.. So the career of that influencer is doomed due to bad publicity.
On episode 1 and why is she smelling him in the elevator? Iâm with the assistant; thatâs creepy lol.
I think it's just a joke from her. Earlier, ML was entangled in a dating scandal with an actress. So, that sniff, I guess, is her joking with ML if he smelled woman as a reference to the scandal. She said he didn't smell woman so the rumor could only be false. It's cringe if it was done seriously but since I see it as a joke, I didn't find it a creepy as it should have been.
I was trying to understand where FL is coming from and I thought she was trying her best to move on from him.…
Yeah, you got a point there too. I guess I ignored those things you mentioned because I can empathize with the pain she felt from the rejection. But looking at it from another perspective, her actions after the fact are indeed harsh. Maybe she wanted ML to suffer as much as she did with an unrequited love. Perhaps thatâs her way of getting through the pain.
agreed! I love this drama so far. I love ho his regret is shown in each episode as he slowly comes to realize…
Yeah. There are lots of scenes where ML is showing interest to our FL like going through her Moments. When he saw she was in the gym, he purposely went there and even greeted her. When FL casually said she wants to chat with him, he was looking forward to that. He was kinda disappointed when FL left him there because she was hurt he turned down her request to be her producer. He had to remind her that it was she who suggested to have a chat with him.
What I donât understand is why he didnât pursue her if he likes her. He seems cold to FL on some occasions like when FL wanted to hitch a ride, he made her his driver. He didnât read the book she gifted him, thus, missing the clues FL hinted. It leaves me questioning if he indeed like her or itâs just my wishful thinking?
You know, is it me or is Miles just everywhere. I just saw him in Rising with the Wind and Only for Love, now…
I was trying to understand where FL is coming from and I thought she was trying her best to move on from him. Since MLâs actions towards her after the rejection is not helping her with âmoving onâ, I understand she would want some space. The only thing I can say of her being unprofessional was before the rejection, when she always come to MLâs office, even her officemates are talking about it. Who wouldnât? He is her boss.
But her accepting Mr. Luâs offer and not backing out from the agreement even when ML presented a much better offer is not showing unprofessionalism. Itâs her sticking to the first person who appreciated her work in all honesty. She also handed her resignation to ML in person instead of submitting it to HR directly to thank him for all the years he helped her in her career.
Everyone has his or her own ways of coping up from pain. Maybe for FL, leaving the company where she is constantly reminded of the humiliation is the best way she could think of. I didnât see that as vindictive.
He didn't kiss her back because he was shocked. This was part of the whole scene that made it so funny for me.…
True, it was entertaining and something new for a change but I also felt uncomfortable. I donât know but itâs just how I feel at that time though itâs exactly that scene which made me watch the drama because I was intrigued when it came across my feed. Iâm not dwelling much into it at the moment coz I want to enjoy this drama. So far, I like it and itâs entertaining to watch especially now that it is ML who chases after FL. Iâm excited to make them a couple as there are lots of sweet scenes between them.
By the way, what did FL say to ML after the forced kiss? I didnât get her meaning. Itâs something in the lines of âgetting something out of it so he wonât think about it anymore.â I am lost on what this could mean.
So far, I am finding myself smiling more often with this drama. I find the FL so beautiful and sheâs one of the reasons why I dive into this. This is the first time I saw her in any drama and she slayed her role. Of course, Miles Wei is as handsome as ever in his role here. â¤ď¸
Things I like: - It touches the topic about the film industry, giving us a glimpse of the challenges with scriptwriting and the frustrations of a writer waiting for her novel to be noticed enough to be made into a movie. - Although there are a lot of cliches introduced in the drama, most are swoon worthy so I wouldnât complain. - The scenes transition perfectly leaving no inconsistencies with the storytelling so far. - We have a strong female lead. I am a sucker for this kind of character. She can hold her spine and despite the humiliation she faced after being rejected by her long time crush, she strives hard to move on with her life. She doesnât wallow in despair, nor degrade herself as a pathetic pursuer of the man she had her sights on. She can also spot on people who appreciate her novel for the arts and not only for the business profit it can bring in. And sheâs loyal. She made a promise to the director, she sticks to her promise even when ML gave in to being the producer of her novel adaptation which is what she wanted most prior the rejection. - I love how my heart skips a beat every time the leads have their moments. They are so effective with giving me heart fluttering scenes which is a testament of how great the actors are. - I also like how the situation was reversed, from FL having a huge crush on ML to ML pursuing the FL after their âbreakupâ (of course thereâs no real breakup here as they were not an item yet). - I love the FL in freaking gorgeous red dress! I want that one! Even the ML looked at her from head to toe, totally mesmerized by her beauty. - The OSTs are catching my attention right now. Letâs see if it can hold my interest until the end.
Of course, there are a few things I am uncomfortable with. The way she confessed her feelings to ML is off for the reasons she gave. She could just answer âI like you for being you.â Giving âhandsome, rich and not fickleâ as reasons will surely leave a bad taste because it gives an impression of a shallow love. I also didnât like how she forcibly kissed ML. I didnât catch her reason behind the action but ML not kissing her back is sort of unromantic. Lastly, I am a bit bothered with the many photos she had of the ML in her wall which is borderline stalking for me.
Apart from that, I am enjoying this drama a lot. Itâs one of those dramas I didnât press the ff button or set the speed to 1.25x. I am looking forward to each episode, a pity because they release only one episode a day (and there are days with no episodes at all). Iâll reserve my ratings when Iâm done with the drama. Hopefully it wonât disappoint. Great start for the team.
Yes indeed. The OSTs are so good. Patiently waiting to be released on Spotify.
OMG! You nailed my sentiments. I have exactly the same thoughts thatâs why I couldnât hate XS like a lot of people did because I trusted him when he made a promise in front of Jiang Huâs parents that heâll protect her from now on. I lowkey hated JH for loving XS lesser than he loves her because it became a barrier for her to fully understand XS, refusing to listen to XSâs explanation. But on the other hand, I fully understand how she felt and sheâs entitled to that. Thatâs another reason why this drama is a masterpiece for me which easily toppled the top spot in my all time favorite cdramas. â¤ď¸
It is not a matter of being well known. I love watching them. Bai Lu is a good actress and pretty too. The first…
Thatâs good to know then. At the end of the day, itâs how the show makes you feel that matters. Good viewing experience will exude positivity as well.
