I am wondering the same thing. Where is it? I am VIP iQIYi so unsure why I can’t see the last 6 episodes 🥲
I am wondering how are dramas released in China. I have the impression that iQIYi, Viki and MangoTV are competitors. How can a drama be released in all of them? Is there no exclusive broadcasting rights there?
It is not a matter of being well known. I love watching them. Bai Lu is a good actress and pretty too. The first…
I am glad you are happy with your viewing experience because 36episodes long drama is a lot of time invested.
As for me, I got frustrated with the script since there are glaring flaws that bugs me during the entire run. I always try to have no expectations at all when I start a drama so as not to be disappointed. Unfortunately, I was. I watch this because of the buzz it creates and of course because of Dylan. I saw him in Meteor Garden and LBFAD where he aced both roles. Even here, he played his part well for the script he was given.
I just have a problem with the script because for supposedly adult characters, they were made to be foolish at times. Then there’s a lot of repeated plots and lots of misunderstandings. I also don’t like how the main couple got back together without a proper apology from FL. Those issues I have with the script are bothering me while watching it.
I like Shi Yue and Yu You’s story as they were written well. Both characters are lovable.
Let me be honest with you, I have read the novel 2 years back before I was aware of who was going to partake in…
I guess that’s the power of dramas with high profile actors and were hyped because a lot of people will get to watch it, even pique the interest of those non-fans. It can be a curse or a reward because if a lot of people are satisfied with the drama, then it will show in the comments and review sections. Likewise, if it failed to live up to their expectations, then a lot of people will talk negatively about the drama, whether it’s poor script, bad editing or lackluster performance from the actors.
For whatever praise or criticism the drama gets, it should still be done within the boundaries of respect.
It is not a matter of being well known. I love watching them. Bai Lu is a good actress and pretty too. The first…
Alright. That’s good then.
That’s what I know about the definition of antis. People who hate actors that they will flood dramas with negative comments and rate 1-star even if they haven’t really watched the series.
However, there are some people here that seems to generalize people with differing opinions as antis and the ones causing the ratings to drop. I don’t understand why that lie is propagated here though.
Yes, antis are there and they are a real deal but not all who don’t like the drama are antis. There are just people who don’t like the drama for their own personal reasons.
I hope everyone will be able to respect each other’s stance whether it aligns with our thoughts or not. And I hope those who are honest in their criticisms about this drama won’t be crucified for voicing their opinions. In the same way, those who genuinely love the drama or even those who supported the drama because of the actors will get their fair share of respect.
Well, that's your opinion. Of course you're entitled to it. You asked us if we would still stick to this drama…
No, you didn’t get my point. I will respect other’s opinion if they find this drama entertaining for their taste whether it’s helmed by famous actors or not. What I don’t understand is why are those who have a different opinion have to be labeled as antis which caused the ratings to drop? I’ve seen a lot of comments here that they stick with the drama because of the actors. That’s why I asked the question above. If it’s different actors playing this drama, would you still enjoy it?
It is not a matter of being well known. I love watching them. Bai Lu is a good actress and pretty too. The first…
Ok, that’s cool. Imagine watching this drama with different actors you don’t know of, like you came into this drama not knowing any of the casts and without reading the novel, would you still like it?
Let me be honest with you, I have read the novel 2 years back before I was aware of who was going to partake in…
Those who post comments that are personal attacks should really be called out for whether they are likers of the drama or not. But what I observed is a lot of negative comments remain respectful and have valid reasons for not liking the drama. However, they were labeled as antis? Like from what I read, the reason why the rating dropped to 7.8 is because antis are swarming this page? It’s invalidating the honest opinion of those who really dislike the drama without any agenda or whatsoever. And if they feel the drama deserves only that rating, they should be respected as well.
I don't understand something. I'm on episode 5. The ML's niece started working at the FL's workplace. Why don't…
The cheater is a different girl, not the one who’s working in the FL’s workplace. The correct niece is the one working under FL’s supervision but she didn’t disclose this tie to anyone in the workplace. Only the editor-in-chief knew about it.
Let’s be honest here. Would you still stick to this drama if the leads are lesser known actors, those without a huge following? No changes to the plots, scenes, sequence, dialogues and whatsoever. Just only the actors. Would you still like this drama?
A lot of people here have a problem with the script, not with the actors, but we were tagged as antis just for speaking our minds on how we felt about the drama. Is this how it is nowadays? If we don’t like something, we just need to shut up, lest, we’ll be the bad guys. If our opinion doesn’t align with what “should be the correct opinion”, then we’ll be labeled as antis or YXH or water armies or whatever they want to call us. We don’t have a right to speak our minds because we will be called “instigators of negativity.” Only them who love the drama have the right to leave a comment here then.
Episode was great until he lost his powers 😒 One of my most hated tropes of fantasy dramas. Seriously considering…
He can still use his powers I guess if he hold FL’s hands. That’s what will get them together though. He needs to be by her side all the time so he can use his powers.
Yes he seems much better here than his other roles that I have watched. Hope he will keep up with the momentum
I saw two of his dramas: Nevertheless and Forecasting Love and Weather. I find his acting decent enough. And here, it seems to me his best role so far. Love his acting and also his visuals. ❤️
I’ve been patiently waiting for this drama to arrive and it surely didn’t disappoint. The chemistry between the leads are oozing since Day1. A perfect balance of tension and comedy sprinkled with a touch of romantic vibes. Cinematography is good as well. I just felt there are scenes that transitioned awkwardly but overall it’s a good premier episode. Let’s see how the story unfolds. I’ll give this episode a perfect score because I find myself smiling a lot during its course. The two OSTs featured in this episode also caught my attention. Good job! ❤️
Jiang Hu likes to make things difficult for herself. She wont back down from any threat. Besides, it is silly…
I agree with you. During that scene, all I was thinking of was “Hey, there won’t even be TY had you not been saved by XS in the first place. You will not be able to revive TY without XS’s harsh but realistic advice which pushed you to do even better.” I said in one of my comments before that it was XS who loved JH more. There’s imbalance in their relationship so it will be doomed eventually. In the finale, this imbalance was restored when JH chose XS over TY which I find really satisfying.
Jiang Hu likes to make things difficult for herself. She wont back down from any threat. Besides, it is silly…
I agree. The pain in Xu Si’s eyes, I just want to hug my teddy bear. When he said “So that’s who I was in your heart.” And then Jiang Hu’s “Teng Yue is my home!” Oh gosh, that’s so painfully awesome! I saw their BTS of that scene and it looks funny than what we thought. 🤣
We might have differing opinion on this matter. I find FL very manipulative. She approached ML with a bad intention…
I also like the trope "He fell first and he fell harder" and would like more of these kind of dramas.
I guess our misunderstanding stems from how we perceive heavy lifting in a relationship is. Since you established that what you mean is the FL was the one chasing the ML around, I partially agree with you. But the FL is also playing a push-pull with ML. She flirts and if ML seem to respond, she withdraws. She's playing with his feelings while ML's feelings for her are genuine.
ML showed multiple times his love for FL like finding ways to be with her during their business trip, even leaving a corporate dinner because the FL hasn't eaten yet (when she can just eat in the hotel's restaurant, order for room delivery if she doesn't want to go out, or simply use food delivery services), with the excuse of having to "feed his cat". There was one time she was working late, ML ordered from her favorite restaurant and even made sure that the food is still hot/warm and taking note not to put that green thing on her food since she dislikes it. ML also spent the New Year's Eve with her and even prepared a dinner reservation + a bouquet of flowers (although he cancelled it at the last minute when he heard FL's wish which is only about her career and doesn't include him). He went to FL's hometown because he was worried when he heard FL's sad voice over the phone (she dreaded attending that wedding because her ex was also invited). And he defended FL when he learned that she was badmouthed by the ex' current GF.
There are still so many things that shows ML was the one doing things for the FL. That's why I could say in this relationship, it was the ML carrying the relationship. Although FL was chasing ML, it was not with pure intention. So, I don't treat that as her carrying the relationship.

With her personality, yeah, that is not off the mark. It would have been better if Xu Si was able to discuss it with Jiang Hu first hand so together they can find ways to circumvent what is inevitable for TY. Two heads are better than one. And both are smart people. It will save us with the angst. But then again, I love the scene where Jiang Hu slapped Xu Si. It was great acting from Elaine and Gong Jun. I wouldn't want to miss it even if it pains me to see it.
also why are there soo many negetive comments here?
Then good for you if you find this drama enjoyable. I won't contest that because it's how you feel about it. However, not everyone feels the same, myself included. But to say that all those who don't like the drama are antis, that's too far fetched.
I don't like English or American dramas. I mostly watch Korean dramas and just new to Cdramas. I understand what you say that there are more dramas out there that are worse in comparison to this one. But as I mentioned repeatedly, when I find a drama that is bad, I will always say I find it bad with supporting reasons why I feel that way. I don't need to compare it with other dramas. Don't I have the right to say that? Do I have to be called an "anti" if I say that? I don't even know what YXH and water armies are until you mentioned about it.
Don't worry, this is not the first time I encountered a bad drama because of the script and editing. And I always say the same thing about them. I am not picking on this one alone. I just give my honest opinion here.
I will rest my case. I hope you can accept the fact that not all people can like a drama which you find enjoyable and vice versa. Please refrain from calling people with different opinion than yours "antis". A lot of us are not and we genuinely care for the actors we love. But we cannot, in good faith, lie to ourselves and say we love the drama that for us is nonsensical or just didn't click.
So we can't give our honest opinion about a drama or else we are called anti. I see that's how it is...
It seems that's how others perceive. We can't give our honest feedback anymore. Even if we hate the script of a drama our beloved actors starred in, we should still say we love it, we are happy and fine with it, lest, we're called antis.
I love you Dylan Wang since Meteor Garden days but I feel sorry you have to work your ass off for this drama that is not worth my time. Same goes to other actors, I'm sorry all the efforts you placed in creating this drama went down the drain. I hope you will be able to choose a better script next time. You have my support.
