Yes. It is an exceptional storytelling, I couldn't perfectly describe my feelings right now. Sepanx is so REAL for me. It's so difficult to move past RWTW at the moment so I just enjoy rewatching the series and maybe pick up something I missed before.

I remember there was a lot of discussions about the "betrayal" scene and opinions vary to the opposite extremes. I even discussed the situation with my husband (who is not into dramas of all sorts) about the situation so I could also hear his opinion about it. Hahaha!

This kind of storytelling is one of a kind. I couldn't be thankful enough to the director and screenwriter of this drama. I love their tandem!

There’s even no betrayal for me I think because we all know that Xu Si is already working on Plan B so as TY will not be acquired by Aneda which we only learned about in the final episodes. If you have observed, even before the launch of TY’s shoes at Lidu, XS keep reminding JH not to stretch herself so hard. He knew what was coming and that TY will catch Aneda’s interest if they continue a fast paced growth track. But JH has her pride and ambitions as well. So, things happened as they were.

I don’t feel the ending was rushed. All loose ends were tied up neatly. I guess other people’s expectations of HE is there should be a final hug and kiss or even marriage proposal. For me, I am contented how the drama ends. Those I mentioned above are just bonus factors if there’s any.

I read a comment before that the novel's author is also the screenwriter of this drama. However, in the MDL details, it says "~~ Adapted from the novel "Wo Yao Ni Feng Qu" (我要逆风去) by Wei Zai (未再)" while in the screenwriter details, it says Qin Wen. Are these two the same person?

Sorry, I missed the point of your question. I thought it's about the reason why Jiang Hu accepted Xu Si's proposal and gave up 51% of her shares to him. Thus, this comment below.
"Jiang Hu bought Teng Yue for 5M yuan only. The rent for the factory land for 2 yrs is about 3M. Thus, it makes sense as a bargaining chip."

Back to the original question why even though TY rented the land for 2years but factory was demolished after only a year, my guess is that since TY has already grown into a big company and can afford to move to a much improved location, there's no need for them to stay in that area anymore.

Yeah, I wish we could have seen that in our screens. Hehehe! But overall, I am very happy and satisfied with how they wrapped up this drama. It is definitely one of my all time favorites which only have three including this as I am quite a picky one. I couldn't be thankful enough to all who made this wonderful masterpiece which became my constant companion and source of happiness for the past few weeks. The best birthday gift I received for this year (being a November baby). The casts, the director, the screenwriter, makeup artists, costume designers, and the rest of the production crew, a very BIG thank you!

Great catch! Thank you so much. I really couldn’t hate Xu Si even when things fall out between him and Jiang Hu because subconsciously I believe he already has a plan B. I even thought the AI technology and the discussion with Gao Yi are related to that plan B as well. Now, I love him even more. The only wish I have is that Jiang Hu could love him as equally strong as how he loved her. I always feel that Xu Si gives more in their relationship. Even when they are officially a couple, Jiang Hu is still hesitating. I totally understand where that hesitation comes from though. But I thought the reason why it’s easier for her to choose Teng Yue over Xu Si is that she loved him less. This is why I feel sorry more for Xu Si than with Jiang Hu during the breakup.

Yes, sort of. But you will realize it is a much needed breakup so they will grow and find common grounds. It is a very good drama overall. Don’t miss the fun. It is not your typical trope that can be very traumatizing. One of the best modern cdrama ever.

The reason why I couldn’t take sides because I understand where both are coming from. I just want a resolution that fits with this story’s flow. I am always surprised by the plots that were presented so far as most do not follow the usual trope. Point in case, Xu Si trying to chase Jiang Hu after they briefly crossed paths outside Lidu Department Store. The usual trope would be he’d go chasing around on foot hopelessly searching for her on the streets, sometimes under the pouring rain. But here, he followed her on a taxi. Smart guy indeed! Less hassle and way more effective. 😂

I usually look for the list of OSTs somewhere like MDL and Wikipedia then copy paste the chinese characters in Spotify search engine. The English song names are oftentimes not searcheable so I opt to search using the chinese characters.

Yeah, this is a bummer. I especially like Song of Faith by Wu Xuanyi (Xiang Zhaoyang) and it’s not available. So sad.

To answer the points you raised:

1. I only started watching Cdramas recently (after Hidden Love’s airing) and I am very new to Chinese actors/actresses. If being a fan means respecting their craft, appreciating the efforts they put into their works just to give viewers a pleasurable drama, then I am a fangirl. “I would hold the same opinion if you put any other actress in her place as well.” – This is a typical line of antis who are trying to convince others they are not targeting a specific person but their words/actions are saying otherwise. You are telling us that Elaine Zhong only accepts roles where she is being chased by at least TWO male leads like a dog. This statement is very wrong and an outright lie designed to fool others into thinking of what kind of actress she is. You give Rising With The Wind and The Furthest Distance as examples to prove your point but neither of the two dramas fall under the category you mentioned above.
2. You can also convince yourself that being reluctant and not showing any interest are basically the same. After all, we both have opinions on this. But I stand on my point that Jiang Hu’s reluctance in not getting romantically involved with Xu Si is NOT because she is never interested with him. She is VERY MUCH interested with him but is safeguarding her heart because she doesn’t want to mix business and personal life.
3. I also watched The Furthest Distance and put it on hold after episode 10 as I was more invested in Rising With The Wind. I didn’t even realize that the FL in both dramas is the same actress not until I was already a few episodes in RWTW when I noticed the FL’s face seems familiar that I checked out her MDL bio. I don’t know if we watched the same drama but in TFD, the FL was the one who first pursued the ML. Yes, the SML was doing things to try to get back with her, but the ML? Nope. The ML gradually fell in love with FL because of FL’s exceptional qualities and good characteristic especially when he saw how much the FL care for him.

I don’t want to lengthen this thread anymore. I just hope you can find happiness in your heart so you can spread it outwards.

Anyone knows how can we petition iQIYI to release all OSTs in Spotify? This drama is loaded with beautiful soundtracks I would want to listen to in loops. Up to now, only one is officially released there which is a pity.
