tbh i never agree about mindset of an irl cp will have a bomb chemistry bc most of the time i felt the opposite.

like i absolutely adore bai jingting and song yi in destined, they are cute and has good chemistry but i still think bjt best onscreen cp is with sandra ma

or in dots, for me both leads has no chemistry at all probably bc i cant stand fl acting there but they end up married in life altho divorced now (which come as shocked to me how they fell in love bc i couldnt feel that in the drama) and i still think song hyekyo has the best chemistry w park bogum onscreen

so i dont think just bc a cp is dating their chemistry would be translated well on screen but at least for yy x wcr pairing i do feel and love their chemisty

yup i hate when any drama does that it just a major turn off, hence i never find her annoying bc she pursue him while also living her life!!! and it is not like she is on him every single day every moment

in fact it was interesting bc whenever this kind of trait exist in sfl, some viewers always quick to hate on them just bc they want main cp scene only eventho sfl were not bad (maybe a bit annoying sometimes but still not a bad person) and now we see these traits in main character, viewers can sympathise w her and who knows serve a lesson to not blindly hate any ex/ supporting character in other dramas just bc they are the not the mains

true idc about them watching or not, it just i think future me would be so annoyed if they ever cast different actor for sang yan, and hidden love watcher who only know sang yan from the series would compare or complain about the new actor and how sang yan is different (if the cast was indeed doing justice to the role)

right? that is my question when i watch hidden love (i only read ff at that time so i assume even if sang yan is there he will not appear as much/his character wouldnt be different) but oh boy i was totally wrong, that is why i cant accept sang yan in hidden love at first bc he just seems so different from sang yan in ff and he just not my sang yan with the way he act...i cant even enjoy watching bc i need to process sang yan in hl (since he is my fav ml character in the universe)

but after i read hl he was indeed potrayed as this unserious funny guy and i just...how can writer does him like this but i do come to conclusion that we see sang yan from sang zhi's pov so he was this annoying chaotic funny guy (i laugh at his antic in hl novel)

but in ff we see more depth of him and i think it was described in the novel that duan jiaxu is more warm while sang yan is a cold person (i dont remember) he is shameless (in arrogant manner and not the funny way but that is his charm), aloof and doesnt really seem to have a care for anything (from outsider pov) and we see this sang yan from yi fan & his friends pov

so i just hope future viewers wouldnt be shock if they dont see the same sang yan character in hl and blame it on the actor (if they cast other actor) bc in the novel they indeed wasnt quite similar, ofc he still cheeky with sang zhi but in first frost when i read it i dont find their interaction really funny bc i imagine him saying it in cold manner but his interaction w sang zhi in hl was indeed funny and i truly believe the different pov is the reason

fl is definitely not perfect and she acknowledge it but idk where the weaks coming from.....she is literally strong against her colleagues, and basically everyone else except her family WHICH make sense if you ask me i just don't get why people cannot see her trauma also it is embarassing ig for some that she goes after ml but what is the harm in trying? in fact after she thought he has gf she doesnt make any move and clearly stay away. her life doesnt revolve around him and it is not like she pester him everytime

ofc all of her outburst in ep10 wasnt clearly right but it is what she thought and i do believe she understand why he wouldnt go to her (bc she dump him) but when you are angry and sad, a lot of time the rationality is gone, one would just want to be mad and nitpick at every single thing and exaggerate a lot

i just want to applaud wang churan in that emotional scene of ep10, she delivered totally delivered (as someone who has not read the novel) i wouldnt say she is completely right but all the stuff she said is from her pov and i like that she is aware she is selfish

i am a crying mess i saw this in trailer and think nothing of it because there is not many emotional breakdown scene actually make me cry but WCR delivered and ate that scene. at least from the viewers i felt her pain bc she is letting out and adamant to finally let him go

only second lead cp saving this show i cant like the main romance bc fl action annoy me

just something to note, sang yan character in hidden love are not similar to his character in first frost and imo first frost is sang yan real character as a whole because it is his story (ofc the sides he show to sang zhi and duan jiaxu as well are him too)
