i do know about the styling issue but i mention about production wise in term of the editing, shots bc a low budget drama cant produce those shots imo bc i have seen a lot of poorly edited cdrama but thank you for providing more insight.

it just beside the production i think the fans of the original work of hidden love definitely has expectation towards the drama, domestically and internationally since it is a popular novel and manhua after all, unlike feiben which is one of author earlier work and much less popular than her other novel

idk why ppl think she is weak bc beside her family she is literally not a weak person like the way she treat everyone else does that seem weak to ppl? the way she stood her ground with the senior doctor and fight to get the interview, the way she lecture song yan sister, the way she doesnt care about the words from her colleague none of those traits are weak.

sure she is weak facing her family but everyone has their weakness point and in my eyes just bc they have this one weakness doesnt make them weak character. a weak character is someone who let everyone walk over them, but she is not like that

i wouldnt really agree about hidden love, it is a hit novel, a hit manhua, already has a radio drama, basically from a popular work, the rumoured cast were talked a lot so it has always has a lot of expectation plus they cast lusi (a B actor list i believe? or is it A? im not sure but regardless she is already quite a name just like esther yu, so the drama would already have investor, no?) plus ppl already quite expecting it to be a hit (at least me) since the reuters was everywhere so ppl be anticipating it for long time

besides the styling i really hope we have good production, directing, so that we can have beautiful shot especially when the drama deal with heavier theme and carry a lot more melancholic feelings (at least for me 😂) and ofc beautiful ost too. let's just pray the adaptation did justice to the novel 🥹

i definitely do not agree with everything fl is thinking or her every decision but she has never been unlikeable for me sure she is indecisive but arent we? while she is controlled, she received love and she never said she was a good person she acknowledge her greed and i like a self aware character

firstly, i dont understand the beginning of ep11, why is song yan mad at her brother for taking her home when they were young? did smth happen? i find that part a bit weird

secondly i do admit i kind of skip the firefighting scene when they just talking so i dont understand song yan's behaviour towards jiang yu i mean yes they kind of disagree during the lecture but why is he still showing dislike towards him here when it's only their second chance meeting? is it bc he still hanging onto suo jun?

tbh i never agree about mindset of an irl cp will have a bomb chemistry bc most of the time i felt the opposite.

like i absolutely adore bai jingting and song yi in destined, they are cute and has good chemistry but i still think bjt best onscreen cp is with sandra ma

or in dots, for me both leads has no chemistry at all probably bc i cant stand fl acting there but they end up married in life altho divorced now (which come as shocked to me how they fell in love bc i couldnt feel that in the drama) and i still think song hyekyo has the best chemistry w park bogum onscreen

so i dont think just bc a cp is dating their chemistry would be translated well on screen but at least for yy x wcr pairing i do feel and love their chemisty

yup i hate when any drama does that it just a major turn off, hence i never find her annoying bc she pursue him while also living her life!!! and it is not like she is on him every single day every moment

tbh i was telling her on my screen too that logically he is doing his job 😂😂 my girl is a bit delusional there but while she is desperate i dont find her annoyingly desperate bc to me she doesnt pester him everytime, she would come and go so i never get secondhan embarassment bc she dont live her life around him

ik the reason and regardless ml still liking her or not her character indeed was the typical sfl character that chase after their ex imo (but this time he doesnt has anyone else he like altho i dont think it matters much), and just bc she posses this trait doesnt make her bad

in fact it was interesting bc whenever this kind of trait exist in sfl, some viewers always quick to hate on them just bc they want main cp scene only eventho sfl were not bad (maybe a bit annoying sometimes but still not a bad person) and now we see these traits in main character, viewers can sympathise w her and who knows serve a lesson to not blindly hate any ex/ supporting character in other dramas just bc they are the not the mains

true idc about them watching or not, it just i think future me would be so annoyed if they ever cast different actor for sang yan, and hidden love watcher who only know sang yan from the series would compare or complain about the new actor and how sang yan is different (if the cast was indeed doing justice to the role)
