Well, she serves a purpose, just as Pil Yo does - but neither character is admirable and both are obsessive/possessive.
I get what you're saying that she serves a purpose but must she serve in such a demeaning fashion? Possibly not the best word choice but you know what I mean? I get tired of one dimensional female characters written to elicit the audience's dislike. Surely scriptwriters can do better...it is 2022 after all. 🤷🏽
Given the leads' unique situations, the break-up (even though we understand it's a device to move the plot forward)…
So true. Although some adaptations are better than others. That's not a criticism of this one. I haven't read the source material. I like the cast. And the misunderstanding has happen to move the plot forward. Not to mention, who hasn't used the classic avoidance technique? Lol. I mean, it's a classic for a reason. It's a shame that a the smexy times seem to be reserved for future-probable-scenarios rather than the present. Ah well. Let's see what the next set of eps bring. I'm just happy they've finally chosen an age appropriate cast with sensible attitudes towards dating rather than wannabe virginal tweens . 🥳
I wish they had made the 2 FL less annoying. Why do writers do this to what could be reasonably serviceable characters? She makes me want to claw my eyes and ears off every time she talks because it's inevitably bitchy, whiny and stupid. Instead of being able to slap her silly, I take great pleasure in pressing the forward button!! UGH.
I'm curious about this drama but I would like to know if the female lead is important and good? I dropped a lot…
The FL is capable and competent. Acting is good too. But in terms of the narrative, she's less fleshed out than the 4 main male characters. It's more of an ensemble drama. So far the story and acting is top notch. If you're into twisty noir then this, to date. is cleverly done.
This drama is EPIC. Everyone is a lying treacherous bastard with multiple identities and shifting loyalties. It needs way. more viewers. All the characters are so smart and fast on their feet..like forget plans A and B and C - this lot has plans from A to Z. Everyone is jockeying to outsmart everyone else like 10 steps ahead in each direction. The actors are really good plus a kick-ass script this is going on my top 10 c-drama list -- including Reset and Reborn and Under the Skin -- unless they really go off piste and tank it in the last set of eps. Well done, C-Drama land, this year you've finally figured out how to make exciting thriller/crime dramas....many of them significantly better than their Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V contemporary rom-com and historical siblings. Ok, now I'm going to be totally heroic and not watch this until the last ep airs. I don't think my nerves can take much more!! :D
So far from the episodes, we learnt that YG mom n father didn't care much for him whennhe was a baby. Acc to his…
It would be cool if the subs kept pace with the drama release. I'm actually enjoying this drama so far but I kind of feel that it's going to do the thing c-dramas do where they just veer into heavy melo territory then crash rather than keeping the momentum going by juggling different moods and stories. Ah well.
She is neither rude nor apathetic towards him. From her pov he embarrassed her infront of her parents, didn't…
@IreneKhongsai super effective, I'd say! I suppose the actors are getting it right since the comments section is on fire. Lol. Talk about drama in the comment's section. :D

Agreed @IreneKhongsai: I find it odd how men are, typically, given so much leeway in dramas to behave badly or to not be emotionally available or to just have a bad day whereas women are supposed to bear with it in the name of love and make all sorts of accommodations and allowances. I can sympathise how his first reaction is to shutdown emotionally, withdraw to lick his wounds. I can also sympathise with her hurt and frustration that he doesn't seem to trust her. Glad they didn't stretch it out too much! The moment where she kicks him after trying everything else reminded me of something a homeroom teacher/guidance counsellor used to say: if you did something stupid or really egregious, she's sit you down in her office and say, "say pop," you'd say "pop." Then she said, "that's the sound of me pulling your head out of your ass. Now put it behind you. Don't repeat stupid behaviour. Do better next time." Then you were dismissed! Hahahahaha
It stays the same. Dvd/original version is 29 epi (normal duration). TV version is 32 epi (duration of each epi…
@PearlHarbor the TV version is cut/edited weirdly to fit the tv airtime slot. Typically the tv run time is 35 odd minutes while the DVD run time is a full 45 minutes including opening and closing credits + the little theatre scenes.
I disagree and this is solely on that preview. Let's say that Zhi Xiao knows about his situation. In Zhi Xiao's…
Yes, that's my take too @yenki. He's struggling. She can see that. But he won't talk to her or let her help or even ask her for some time and patience. I get that he's reeling from shock, loss and dismay but his knee jerk reactions are his own. She's not a mind reader. This motif of lack of communication between them, even if it's short lived, keep recurring in the drama. In my opinion it does a disservice to the source material.
