Most Chinese contemporary dramas are at best mediocre. I think it's also cos they have too many and so it seems their quality isn't there. But the good ones are amazing with the depth of emotions and clever dialogues. But this year, this is the 3rd one I've watched that's good. Meet Yourself, Road Home, and this Hidden Love are excellent productions.

Don't think yours is an unpopular opinion. Many have said that too especially in China. I acknowledge the young actress was great but perhaps they could have just used Lusi cos she can look 14 too. Haha.

I watched till ep 16 and stopped. Not because I don't like the drama or had dropped it. I liked it so much I didn't want to finish it quickly. So I turned to watch it on Netflix. Rewatched from ep 1 and now completed ep 16. So am excited for the new episodes that'll drop next week on Netflix. A bit slow but yeah, I wanna savor this drama.

Sorry I wasn't comparing this to Longest Promise. If I'm not wrong, Longest Promise is currently rated low too.

How is this drama rated so low? It is much much better than another one that is airing currently with a stupid plot and bad CGI and yet that one has above 8 rating. 🤦‍♀️ I'm not a fan of either of the leads cos of their acting in the past dramas but in this one, they're watchable. At least both are lively and animated enough. I'm also interested to find out what's the backstory of the ML.

The lead actress is pretty but that's about it. I tried watching most of her dramas because of the MLs but I had to drop all of them. Thought this might be better but no.

Yeah 18 is legal age for most countries. From where I come from, 21 is adulthood.

So I kept expecting SZ to be 21 cos she said she's an adult. But I realized she's only 19 and that means 18 is an adult in China? I thought 18 is still late teens? A bit confused by that.

These two are too cute! OMGosh. Their chemistry is simply off-the charts! ZLS is such a gem!

Now I wish I never started this drama but caught it on Netflix. I hope Netflix drops more episodes or at least up to 14 real quick.
