This is one of those rare dramas with a very satisfying ending. I am trying to understand why the rating for this is so low. It should be above an 8. A current airing trashy drama gets 8.1 and this is 7.6 when the plot and cast are all above average. Unbelievable! Also, this is way way better than some draggy and stupid Eagle plot and yet, that drama has a slightly better rating. 🤦♀️
Usually, dramas have some filler here and there but this one is surprisingly free of them. I can only count with a few fingers some annoying scenes. The plot is interesting and I like that the characterization of the ML brings up the question of what really is right and wrong. His character has been controversial from the beginning because some audience have definitions of what is good and moral without examining the context behind. That's exactly what the drama was addressing.
As I said before, I've seen both the lead's past work and concede they're not the strongest in acting, but they are all above average in this drama.
Anyone has any idea if this drama will be on Netflix or Disney+? I first read it'll be on Netflix but just a few days ago, someone posted that it'll be on Disney+.
Sigh. Why the low rating? This is a very entertaining and fun watch! Love all the 3 guys. Their bromance is awesome. The cases are also very interesting but maybe not so intriguing cos most of their investigations seem too easy and smooth. But still, a great watch.
Finished watching based on raw episodes. Overall this is not bad. The ending was rushed as some questions were left unanswered but because it's a short web format so I guess we can be more forgiving.
Ok…Let’s get this straight. This Xianxia deserves a much higher rating. Compared to the more expensive productions…
Exactly. It should be an 8 at least. It's really not bad. I kinda like the plot twist. Compared to the Eagle show, this is way way better. I also Promise it doesn't have that many annoying characters. 😁
Seriously… Exactly, what the casting department was thinking during their cast selection? They most definitely…
I disagree, MTY isn't as bad as you've described in this drama. I've seen him in other dramas and wasn't impressed at all with him in them but I find he has improved a lot for this one. Maybe not the best but still on point.
You should check out Jumong if you haven't already! He's the founder of Goguryeo and it follows his life up to…
I see. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this character. Definitely sounds like a wise king compared to his emperor role in Empress Ki. He was great in Empress Ki cos the role called for character growth so hope he has the opportunity to flex his acting muscles in this role too.
I was initially unsure of what made this drama so appealing to me. It isn't exactly great but I just wanted to watch it. But upon watching episode 18, I found the contrasting shades of the characters pretty interesting. The main leads are not your pure black and white characters but both have questionable backgrounds and origins. Ha! But like what the ML said in ep 18, who defines the rules?

Wow. I've been waiting for him to work on a sageuk role again. Am excited! Could you tell me why JCW playing King Go Nam Mu would be great cos you seem to know the story. The synopsis seems to imply the focus will be on the power struggle after the king dies. But I suppose there will be build-up to that and we'll see more of the king.
want to start watching this... how is the drama so far? which episodes leads got together? how is the romance?…
This is not the best but something about it makes it an entertaining watch. The story is interesting but should not be overly scrutinized if you wanna enjoy watching it. The romance is quite strong. Second leads are a wee bit annoying but it's okay for me.
Sorry, I don't swoon over the guy. I swoon over the girl. She's not your Type A personality and her responses…
So? She's infatuated with him. Her responses come across in her eyes and her body language. It doesn't always have to be talking back. Heard of tongue tied? Anyway, if you get it you get it.
This girl's conversational response time is abysmal. Why does it take her a full 15 seconds to respond to someone?…
Sorry, I don't swoon over the guy. I swoon over the girl. She's not your Type A personality and her responses and the nuances she displays are all so realistic to me.
