It's the chocolate. It's also probably to highlight the bit of sexual tension as Hira initiates sex for the first…
I never thought of it that way. I just thought he was swallowing because he’d eaten the chocolate, but doing it out of nervousness totally fits Hira. That makes complete sense.
I just saw a trailer for it and Save from Why u, why me is all over it, yet his character’s name isn’t even in the show description on MDL. I wonder why he got cast. I found him underwhelming in the show he was in. Maybe it was just a bed character or bad writing. I hope he’s better in this as he seems to be an ML even though it’s supposed to be two other guys as the MC.
First week without utsukare I'll take any content at this point. Just give me these two dumbasses staring at each…
I’ve already rewatched it twice. There’s nothing like it anywhere. Not with two such gloriously messed up characters who you want to be happy. We’re in a drought until the movie comes to us international fans.
But why was Kagami played by a male actor instead of Meguru? Meguru is the one who's supposed to be trans, right?
As far as I know it’s typically non-binary people who use they/them. I think trans people would want the pronoun of their gender identity. Personally I feel that people can be what they feel they are. We already have pronouns, who cares if we add to them? I just try to respect where people are and not offend them if I can help it.
But why was Kagami played by a male actor instead of Meguru? Meguru is the one who's supposed to be trans, right?
I noticed the adam’s apple in the last episode and got curious if he was a trans actress. I don’t think he’s trans. He is openly a male but dresses as a women and obviously takes female roles. He competed in a boy entertainment competition. If I’m incorrect about any of this, my apologies. No offense was meant to the LGBTQ+ community.

The actor is listed as male and I googled him. I think they shot the female role differently to mask the adam’s apple. But it definitely is the same actor playing both parts.
In episode 1 of season 2, Hira saids that Kiyoi was so cute last night that she persisted in having sex with him.…
True. But other than the season 1 finale it seems to be Kiyoi who decides when they have sex not Hira. Look at how surprised and glad he is when Kiyoi says it. Kiyoi also tells him that he won’t kiss him again until he decides to move forward. So I think Kiyoi makes the call on when sex happens but Hira probably is all over him once he gets the ok, lol. So the persistent remark still makes sense to me.
1. The back and forth inner voices between Hira and Kiyoi was a nice surprise ! That allowed us to follow where…
I’ll have to back and look for that because I thought that was the scene where he was pretty understanding about the stuttering but I may be remembering it incorrectly. I loved how they echoed each others words and repeated their body positions from some scenes in the second season. The one you mentioned and Kiyoi in the rocking chair with Hira on the ground. It’s part of why it’s such a great show. All the little details.
The casting on this show is perfect. They’re all really good in their roles. Kagami being played by a male actor is exactly right. I don’t even care that this is a BL anymore nor am I hoping for a happy ending. I’m just along for the ride wherever they take me.

Loved what you wrote about the show. I too am totally obsessed about it. I thought the way Kiyoi responded to Hira’s stuttering in season 1 was actually good. He casually tells him to take his time when he’s struggling to speak. He’s patient with him and generally doesn’t try to put words in his mouth. I always took that as a sign of his feelings for him even then. Of course rubbing his back is a more loving action, but I don’t think Kiyoi was unkind about his stuttering in the first season.
So I am monumentally slow, but I just realized that Hira initiates the kiss and sex in this last episode for the first time since the season one finale. That’s a big step for him and another sign that he’s moving forward.
Omg, the last scene of episode 4 was just so incredible, so raw and intense, yet so fragile and delicate. Kimura's…
You said it all. This is one of my favorite BL’s ever. I refuse to admit how many times I’ve rewatched it, but it’s a lot. Everything about it is so well done. I’ve been hoping for a second season but nothing so far.
