Definitely true. Japan is more closed about the topic but will hopefully become more open. I think shows like CM & MLMU are still doing their part to change their society by showing the love and emotion of gay people. They pave the way for the later shows. MBM had more passion and even mentioned masturbation! When I look at how much Thai BL’s have changed since SOTUS 6 years ago to LITA, it’s startling. Of course Thai BL’s have a loads of problems, but that’s for another rant.

I love this show. They handled the age gap as well as they could. They waited until Shin was 18 and he still turned him down. When he goes to college is when they start. They both thought long and hard about their feelings. People act like he was sleeping with the guy the whole time. Shin knew how he felt and had a maturity that even Minato didn’t have. Some 18 year olds do know their feelings and own them. I also like how Minato was able to tell his ex-girlfriend he’s gay and get closure with his sensei after all those years. It was a sweet show with a happy ending.

Kouta reminds me of Kusakawa Takuya who played Minato in Minato’s Coin Laundry. The expressions and bone structure especially.

Great minds think alike because I love Bueming and MBM as well.I think the second season of TMS2 certainly upped their game in the kissing department. I think they are actually the most natural and intimate seeming couple of all the BL’s I’ve seen.

It’s in my top 3 as well between Eternal yesterday and SE. I know it’s a surprise kiss, but Nozue kind of kisses him back, but maybe out of extreme courtesy, lol. I wish they’d let them have a kiss just as you said. Especially since they’re grown men FGS.

I agree with your list except for OFC. They had a couple real actual kisses. It’s true the ending didn’t have them kiss again which was sad, but the two they had were at least passionate kisses.

I guess Dean and Pharm (UWMA) got off light with birthmarks on their temples, lol.

Blueming did well enough to get a second season, so there’s that to look forward to.

Same with Japanese tv shows versus movies. It makes sense, but there doesn’t need to be such a marked difference. Some physical affection and closeness to show intimacy goes a long way. That’s why TMS 2 & CBAW stood out for me.

I can’t believe nobody has commented on this series for 2 years. I just noticed that Jang Eui Soo, the actor from Where Your Eyes Linger and My Sweet Dear is in this too. He’s like a chameleon; he looks different in every show. I watched the entire My Sweet Dear series without recognizing him! I also forgot what an a*^#hole Jin Won is. He doesn’t deserve the adorable Go Sang Ha.

I agree. To My Star 2 and Cherry Blossoms after Winter showed great cuddling and affection, but they’re always fully clothed in bed, which is weird. Maybe Korea is just really cold? Lol

Totally agree about them shirtless in bed. No more giant sweatshirts and pants in bed please! It’s a great first step for Korean BL’s. Now they just need to show the feeling and passion to approach reality.

Well he did have 3 years with Jung Woo and it didn’t really work. He didn’t seem able to love and treat him like an adult. His love was suffocating Jung Woo. I think they’re both better off apart.

Kim Jung Huyen’s version of love treated Jung Woo like a child, trying to shelter him from the world. Han Tae Young loves Jung Woo and treats him as an adult who can make his own decisions which is so much more healthy. I’m glad they gave us the happy ending promised in the title. They all grew and had success. Now Kim Jung Woo needs to find someone so he’ll get over Jung Woo completely.

Watch it for Han Tae Young alone. He’s adorable.

He’s really good. His English was amazing in this song, but of course he’s spent time in the US.

I can’t with this show. I don’t care about any of them. They’re not getting Green someone, so I’m out. The rest of them are boring, stupid, childish or all three. What a waste of our time and their money.
