If they don't, she hopes that he can find his own happiness. That scene ends with her looking ahead and smiling. Cut to a pair of boots walking on the same pavement that Dengdeng was walking on. The legs show Lu Yan walking happily. Hard to see but A Xin's glasses are hooked on the front of his vest. Call out to A Xin's sacrifice. As Dengdeng is smiling, one could consider that their courtship will begin anew. Look for people talking about the actors for Lu Yan and A Xin explaining the above in an interview.
