Gia Ge's Wen Wan is smart, very smart with very good martial art skills. Dong Zhi Fan's Xiao Chen is a green forest. I'm re-watching it now, but there are a few episodes 3/4 ways in that I didn't watch yet. Don't think that she becomes dumb, but missed some signs near the end. I like Judy Qi but her Ms Ke spent a lot of the episodes teasing mind games with the ML.You can understand why, but it's not the greatest writing. I liked her in Love is Written in the Stars. Li Ge Yang's Shen Nan isn't the bad boy like In Blossom but here, once he gives his heart to someone, he won''t give up. But persistent but not toxic, imho. Have you seen this drama? Revenge of Reborn Princess (2024) MDL Feng Hua Jian (2024) at dramacool. It's pretty good. Not as good as Fate's Crossing Nan & Ke (2024) but the ending is written better in the former. Soonsetra at MDLposted a link to an eng subbed version at bilibili soonsetra did the subs. If it is after watching ep. 4, perhaps it is from the beginning where Mu Yao believes that Mu Sheng stole the map and draws the line between her and him with the comments about the her and the Resentful Woman, that he cannot feel the same as the dead parents were not his and that the way he acts is no different from a demon. And that she forgot her promise to go to the lantern festival with him. I'm sure that he later realized that the drama sets up lots of misdirects to build tension.

I see Chen Shi not as stupid but uncomplicated. He may not see all but what he does see might be important and may be what others might not. A favorite among a fine group here. Chen Shi is like Hong Ji's handyman to Dragon Demon girl Bai Xi in Little Dragon Maiden.

I like that Chen Shi realized that such a unique cat might feel lonely and might need someone to care about and care for him.

Cui Ya's sister was later offered for marriage to Xianchen in exchange for the bixi that Zisu just brought back from Sushui. Xiaochen's wife had to die first. Cui Ya's assassins regularly used Ji Demons to cover their killings. See ep. 6 14:00. The three killers waiting for Zisu to kow tow up to the River God say as much. So Cui Ya wants the bixi and killed Xiaochen's wife to make an opening for his sister. Xiaochen uses the bixi to bring his soldiers to slaughter the Ji in Sushui. So Xiaoman gives Cui Ya the bixi at the wedding ceremony knowing that impure intentions will doom him.
