I donβt see this as sabotaging the drama cause as you said "to each their own". Personally, Iβve never cared much about romance, and I prefer supporting Tan Jianci without involving the CP. AFAIK, this is also how his previous dramas were promoted, the focus wasnβt mainly on the CP. I agree that creating ships outside the drama with the secondary actress isnβt really a good thing. But, I feel the same even when it involves the FL. Ships should stay within the drama. That said, I donβt think sharing his interactions with the princess automatically means people are shipping them. Some fans also share his interactions with Jeremy or Pai Pai, does that count as shipping too? itβs just a matter of preference. Iβve also seen LYX fans share more content of her with Pai Pai. And I can understand why some people stopped sharing LYX/TJC romantic content. I personally lost interest in it as well after the evil agency theory started spreading.
