i love a good crime show, and im not looking anything similar to The Double. im just wondering if it’s worth my time to watch

i’ve not watched many chinese historicals but i watched The Double, how does this compare to it? i absolutely loved TD and i dont wanna pick up something if its frustrating or going to bore me

dayum, no way they're not giving him any non-BL shows.. i think he would thrive in more straight rom-coms or even thriller shows

I never said she was mean to him though. She acted weirdly from the beginning, like she was super uncomfortable. If I met someone I didn’t care for much, but was related to my past, I wouldn’t be super kind, I get it. But she literal was so scared of him from the start.

started this bc of high rating, im stuck on ep29... second half is making me bored. I prayed so hard for the SML to not end up as a bad person (obsessive), and I did not like that MY acted so weirdly towards him from the start. I get that she's wary but she barely showed genuine kindness to someone that was her 'friend.'

i would like to know if chen jia was always one of Song Mo's men? or was that only in this timeline..? and if it was, what changed this event? was it Dou Zhao's impact that lead Song Mo to do this?

my speculation is because of what Song Mo did when entering the palace after he found out his uncle died. Although the emperor didn’t want to, he had to punish him for his actions.. is what im guessing?

Is it possible to feel so much empathy, yet little sympathy towards these main villains. I dont know how to explain the feelings I felt towards them. Well-written complex characters, and I absolutely loved the romance between the MCs.

Can we also appreciate the emperors and Duke Su’s friendship?! Going to be hard to find something similar with great plot, great romance and friendship bonds like this
