A little worried about the lack of promotion. Could it be that Netflix doesn't have faith in this?

What happened between part 1 and part 2? His girlfriend was brutally murdered. When an event as traumatic as that…
Ah my bad. But even then, it makes complete sense because he has experience several other traumatic events:

- He was shown hell, the worst pain anyone can endure
- He died several painful deaths

Anyone in his situation would try to get out of the suffering as soon as they realize what's going on.

I'm sorry there's just no way that the Yijae we were shown in the very beginning of this drama is the same cunning…
What happened between part 1 and part 2? His girlfriend was brutally murdered. When an event as traumatic as that happens, it can completely alter your personality. Trauma often brings out the depths of your soul.

The evolution of his mindset is perfectly natural from a human psychology POV.

I wholeheartedly agree with this drama message but there’s slightly I disagree is that everyone have their own…
Sorry to hear that you feel stuck.

I don't know if this would help, but one thing that helped me a lot when I couldn't figure my life out:

The purpose of life is to become someone you admire.

Make a list of people you admire. Figure out why you admire them. Then go and develop those characteristics. It's not going to be easy. In fact, it's going to be very hard. But when you live life with this purpose in mind, wow does every day feel deeply fulfilling.

Another thought for those who disagreed with the message (and you're totally allowed to feel the way you do):

Shows don't have to be prescriptive to have meaning. What I mean is: We don't necessarily have to see this series as a message for *everyone* who commits suicide.

If you look at it from the perspective of *just* this Yi Jae character: Ok, perhaps he was selfish. Perhaps he did have a lot to live for. Perhaps he did take his mother's love for granted. And so this whole journey was worth it for him.

Doesn't mean this applies to everyone who's suicidal. But maybe, if you are suicidal, you watch this show and *some* aspects of its message (doesn't have to be *all*) give you new realizations on life.

The message was not "you should feel guilty for killing yourself." The message was that experiencing life to the full is the antidote to the desire to commit suicide.

I felt strongly that the whole guilt thing was just a tactic used by Death. But not the core message, which is the power of understanding and appreciating love in its entirety.

uk when sweet home was released everyone told it was not good nd the starting rating was 7.8 or smtg but eventually…
I feel like comparing it to Sweet Home may not be the best. Sweet Home started off amazing and then had one of the worst endings I've ever seen in any TV show. Sweet Home would probably end up in the low 7's or high 6's if it wasn't released during the pandemic when there was nothing else to watch

In your honest opinion, how does the writing quality compare to Kingdom? I don't mind if it's slow, or if there's limited action. Just want to watch something where the writing is good.

What site do you all use to read Webtoons? Every site or app I've used requires scrolling down, which makes me dizzy. Are there any like PDFs where you just tap from side to side and it shows the whole page?

Where are you seeing there's no romance?
Is it usually accurate? I would be happy if there's no romance

Honestly surprised anyone even cares about this series. Season 1 started off amazing, then had one of the worst last few episodes out of any show I've ever seen, ever.

Lee Do Hyun's character died because... he wanted to watch the security cameras? Song Kang's character had no development and the acting was 1 note. Preacher man died because everyone stood around and watched. Wheelchair guy died because... he decided to go downstairs at the wrong time.

After all that, not really surprised season 2 isn't good.

I was very disappointed in this film. The FL was lifeless and I did not care about her story. By the time it was…
She portrayed the character perfectly. She was "lifeless" because she was numb after all the tragedy she has gone through. The only emotion she can tap into is revenge. Everything else in her life is basically a trance to her. The portrayal is brutally realistic.
