This is my first taiga. I'm surprised to find the writing in this is much higher quality than a lot of regular Jdramas.

Wu Jing is awesome, but the trailer looks so cringe and Marvel-ized

Can someone explain why Higashide is hated but Oguri Shun gets a pass? By all reports, Oguri Shun is out cheating right and left, yet he has 4 kids. Is the difference that his wife tolerates it, while Higashide's obviously didn't?

Last few episodes were much much better than I feared. Decent landing. Excited for season 2.

Halfway through. Actions scenes are peak. Actors are top notch. But I'm a bit concerned about some of the writing. Fujii Michihito's works all seem to be mediocre, and I'm worried this one will end up this way too. Also saw an interview where he says he might deviate from the books and write his own ending for future seasons. Also pretty concerning.

I feel like on MDL 7.2 generally translates to pretty bad. Low 8's is average. Mid 8 and above is good to really good.
