There are definitely rumors out there that there will be a Season 2, but no official announcements. So I suppose it could go either way. There could be a Season 2 or Ep 12 could be THE END. Anybody's guess.

I suppose it is quite possible that they have orchestrated a fake break-up to give the appearance to others around them that things have ended just for things to cool down and in the process focus on completing their education and make a career out of their lives. I don't think they've really broken up either. I guess we'll find out :-)

That is so hard to believe that EP 8 was the least watched of all. That is the episode which has the balcony scene which is my favorite scene so far from the entire series.

I thought I would really like an episode dedicated to just the two of them and no one else, but I have to admit that Ep 11 is probably one of my least favorite of the series so far. Let's hope Ep 12 ends on a high note.

I agree that The Untamed was pretty good. I loved it. Their chemistry was good. No fault of theirs, it is just that due to Chinese authorities and the various bans and restrictions for me personally it ended up being a textbook definition of Queerbaiting because all the "romance" was only hinted at through homoerotic subtext. Again no fault of the actors and the creators of the show. It is just the sandbox that China allows them to play in.

My first Asian "BL" was the Chinese drama "The Untamed". I call it loosely BL because in my eyes the "BL" dramas that China makes borderline on Queerbaiting. There is lots of homoerotic subtext, clever twists, slow-burning erotic tension, hinting, suggestions, innuendos, poetry, bone-throwing, etc - plenty of that going on that is suggestive of a same-sex relationship, but then absolutely no depiction of same-sex romance.

Oh my. I had a rough work week so I haven't watched Ep 11 yet. I will need to catch up on that today. So did the "curse of the episode 11" come true?

Yikes. I didn't know that MDL did that in the past. That is horrible. Glad they have changed or at least give the appearance of a change.
