That Murong Fu actor I think is really handsome. Why do they do this to me. They put a really good looking and hot actor in a character that I really hate. They're torturing me!
I sometimes think that I only want to see chu wanning just like how he's described in the book. Strong, elegant,…
I haven't read the book, but I will definitely come back to you after the drama starts airing to seek your opinion on how Luo Yunxi did in his role and if he played the perfect Shizun just like in the book. I'm so crazy about Luo Yunxi that he could be doing a crappy job and I'd still watch him dazed and totally in awe. I love him. LOL.
Agree. I personally think Zhou Xun is the best of Huang Rong. I watched the recent version, but I could only watch…
Huang Rong has a supporting role in the sequel novel - The Return of The Condor Heroes. While I would not call her "evil", she is prejudiced against Yang Guo, is responsible for the split of Yang Guo and Xiaolongnü and also is overprotective and spoils her daughter Guo Fu. But no, she is not evil. She is the main lead in the Legend of the Condor heroes and is an amazing lead, in my opinion totally overshadows the male lead. I'm not a fan of Zhou Xun's Huang Rong. I prefer Barbara Yung from 1983 and Aerial Lin from the 2008 version. Both were much better than Zhou Xun.
I hope they have good proportion of beginning, middle and end. I have seen many c dramas have strong beginning,…
You make a really good point. I remember watching the Untamed and how it took me until the 12/13th episode of the Tortoise cave until I fully got hooked onto it. Until then it was for me really slow and boring and I actually almost dropped watching it.
Huang Rong from Legend of the Condor Heroes is probably one of the most inspiring C-drama female lead characters ever. She is arguably the smartest, most intelligent and wittiest character in the ENTIRE Jin Yong universe.
How will you judge Immortality the drama? How important is it to you that the adaptation closely follow the novel? Personally I have to admit that a deviation from the original novel is not necessarily unacceptable. This is Fantasy Xianxia genre so we know it is going to be littered with CGI special effects. As long as the script, acting and CGI special effects are good, I honestly don't mind if they deviate from the original novel.
Another good question. I have to admit, I was relatively late to the MDL party. I joined only earlier this year.…
The C-drama genres that I prefer watching are completely different from my K-drama genre preference. For C-dramas I prefer historical genres - predominantly Wuxia and Xianxia genres. For K-dramas I love watching modern, contemporary. So yeah, totally different genres. But there are historical K-dramas out there also that I hear are good. I just haven't watched them yet.
Is there a live-action TV series been made for "The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System" or does anyone know if there is any news on if one that will be created in the future?
Another good question. I have to admit, I was relatively late to the MDL party. I joined only earlier this year.…
Oh my gosh, there are so many really good ones. This list may sound overwhelming. I started watching K-dramas a little over a year ago, so there are still a lot of good ones out there that I haven't gotten to yet. Here are some good ones that I have watched that I highly recommend...
