Hi all, I enjoyed WOH because it's good. Also, I'm a sucker for redeemable super villains like WKX. Any reco for…
So, I didn't exactly see WKX as a villain, let alone a super-villain. Flawed - Yes. Villain - No.
I can think of quite a few villains in Wuxia dramas that have redeemable qualities - all of them in the Jin Yong universe of Wuxia.
Jinlun Guoshi from The Return of the Condor Heroes - He is the major super-villain here. Despite his evil nature, he was shown to be gentle towards Guo Xiang, admired her intelligence and had wanted to take her in as a student. In the end he even sacrifices his life in the process of saving Guo Xiang from being burnt alive.
Xie Xun a.k.a Golden Haired Lion King from Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre - Xie Xun's entire family is murdered by his former mentor Cheng Kun, who disappeared after committing the atrocity. Guided by fury, Xie Xun goes on a rampage to kill many innocent people and push the blame to Cheng Kun, in the hope of forcing Cheng Kun out of hiding. Xie Xun eventually becomes a Shaolin monk to seek peace and redemption for his past sins.
Duan Yanqing nicknamed "Overflowing with Evil" from Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils - He is one of the Four Evils which is a gang of four that amongst themselves kidnap and kill little babies, preys on young women, kills people, etc. In the end he becomes a recluse.
Why reviews are so negative ? I've never watched previous versions before nor read the novel. After reading comments…
I know right. Lot of negative haters on here for this drama. Like really vicious. I don't understand if people have nothing nice to say, why do they say anything at all?
2hamylife gave me permission to clown about a possible September release. So I am clowning about it with permission from 2hamylife ... of course π€£π€‘π€£π€‘
That Murong Fu actor I think is really handsome. Why do they do this to me. They put a really good looking and hot actor in a character that I really hate. They're torturing me!
I sometimes think that I only want to see chu wanning just like how he's described in the book. Strong, elegant,…
I haven't read the book, but I will definitely come back to you after the drama starts airing to seek your opinion on how Luo Yunxi did in his role and if he played the perfect Shizun just like in the book. I'm so crazy about Luo Yunxi that he could be doing a crappy job and I'd still watch him dazed and totally in awe. I love him. LOL.
