very skippable (had to watch it in 2.5 speed, sometimes 3x)
I love that I’m not the only person who has done this… LOL! Sometimes you just gotta power through.

Damn it… I’m upset. I thought that this was 16 and now I know there’s only one week left and I’m a little upset. Loving this show. It’s the first show in a WHILE that I’ve been excited to watch. Had a LONG drama slump and this one kinda got me back on the wagon.

Yup. Totally agree with that as well. They should just leave things the way they're intended to be.

I also hated the fact that the "present/future" versions of the kids didn't look ANYTHING like the younger ones. It was definitely off putting. Especially the height difference between the younger male lead and the adult male lead.

The show ended up being cut down from 50 to 26 during shooting. They started it off normally, but then had to rush to finish it. I actually loved the first part of the show, but the half with the adults was just not good. The chemistry between the leads was terrible and felt forced. The story went to crap because of the rush... I try to remember this show ending with them as kids. Lol!!

Exactly what I meant. Lol! He'd be doing a LOT of reading and memorizing to keep up to date.

I'm gonna give it a try, but I have this thing about amnesia in my dramas. Also, if he only writes down what happened the day before, then that means he loses everything before that. I have bad feels about this, but... Choi Jin Hyuk

And it’s non-stop. Like, she doesn’t take a break from being righteous about ERRYTHING. And how is it possible…
In my case I’m not uncomfortable with her emotions. I’m happy to see a character who empathizes with others. It’s the extent of her feelings that just seem to be a little too much. She is the epitome of a bleeding heart. Someone who feels that much for others would literally be a doormat for the world, but for some reason she comes out on top every single time she interferes in something. And honestly, my feelings on this have less to do with her than with the writing. Yes, I get that this is a drama. Yes, I get that you have to take things with a grain of salt. I loved the first few episodes of this show for her unwilliness to let the downtrodden be abused. What’s going on now with the show feels forced. Not just with her, but with trying to draw tears from the audience. I don’t know... I’m gonna keep watching, because each episode has something in it that I love. *shrugs*

Oh Reum tires me out sometimes. I like righteous characters but her recklessness at times causes others around…
And it’s non-stop. Like, she doesn’t take a break from being righteous about ERRYTHING. And how is it possible that her thought process is ALWAYS right? She’ always seeing the good in people and if she digs just deep enough, she finds the answer to fix their problems.... Bleh. The writers are killing me with this. They are trying to backpedal a little bit with how ep. 9 rolled out, but it’s still about how she’s in the right, regardless of the outcome.

The beginning of this show was amazing! Then the show dragged and they killed it with that ending. It made NO sense and didn't clear up anything. Horrible ending. If you haven't watched this, I would suggest you don't because you'll just end up frustrated.

I'm not mad at it being put on Netflix. I pay for DramaFever, Viki, Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Amazon Prime. It's not the cost for me, it's the wait. I like watching 1 or 2 episodes a week.

I'm in the minority as well, Andrea. I keep watching this show only because I've already wasted 30+ hours on it.…
Honestly, I do. I try to be polite to everyone. You just come off a bit uppity with your comments. While I understand now that you meant to italicize specific words, the all caps thing does indeed make your statements look like you're looking down on our opinions. I totally understand that you like this drama - and for what reasons, but for my own reasons, I was having issues. I wasn't looking to be talked into liking it. You could have just left our negative comments alone, but you felt the need to continue to try to make us see it from your point of view.

am I the only one who thinks this is a bit boring? lol
Nope. I kinda didn't want to watch it from the get go because of my lukewarm feelings for Baek Jin Hee, but I plugged on because some of my friends are LOVING this... Honestly, I feel no chemistry between any of the characters and the plot is going all swirly. Only reason I'm still watching is because I made it this far. And I apparently like to hurt myself.

Yes. Firstly, the caps thing comes of very condescending. I get that you are passionate about your shows, TeleriFerchNyfain, but not everyone is going to have the same thoughts as you do. We were just stating our issues with this one.

And Andrea, I totally agree with you on the feel of how the show is going vs how it was billed. The only extensive show I was able to make it all the way through with was Empress Ki. I tried a few others. One was canceled and cut short and IMO ruined. The others I kinda jumped ship. I'm trying to finish this one up... but it's difficult. Lol

It's not that I don't like weekend dramas. It's more that the lengthy ones start off with a bang then fizzle out for a LONG period of time, then at the end it's like the writers are like "Oh, we only have 2 episodes left, we'd better clear things up." and don't. I usually steer clear of shows over 16-24 episodes for that reason alone. I decided to try this one out because I was following Lee Tae Hwan. Lol

The "what you're used to" comment was about the ratings for this show being so high in S.Korea. Not your view on it. I personally don't watch many shows outside of SK or Japanese (anime or dramas). So, I totally understand the love for these shows.

Title My Golden Life Spoiler
I do find Ji Soo annoying much of the time - but not evil nor even a bad person. She's a normal person w/good…
I never said she was evil. I said she's a self-centered, whiny, self-loathing, infant. Her "good" qualities are all self-serving. She was nice to the baker, right? So he would teach her. She's still nice to the baker? So he will continue to teach her and let her use his kitchen. She brought stuff over to the cafe? That was so she could keep seeing Hyuk... and so on. I haven't seen one instance where she did something that didn't benefit her in the end. When things don't go her way she gets mean and lashes out. I just can't deal with that type of person. That's just how I feel. *shrugs* What this DOES say about the show and the actress is that they did a good job making her character work in that particular role.

This show became draggy after the midway point and it hasn’t gotten any better. They promised something different…
I'm in the minority as well, Andrea. I keep watching this show only because I've already wasted 30+ hours on it. I feel like I need to see where it goes... I honestly usually steer clear of family dramas, especially long ones like this, for exactly that reason. They have to draw out the drama and that usually makes it feel forced. And as for ratings? I don't know what to say other than I'm sure that shows that are popular and have amazing ratings in the US would have terrible ones in S.Korea. It's all a matter of what you're used to and what makes sense to you or appeals to your senses.
