I'm not really sure what to make of this series. It's kind of like Club Sapan/Club Friday meets Bangkok Love Stories (can't remember which one). At least this series portrays most of the characters and relationships in a quasi-realistic way. And there aren't any "contrived scenes with medical and engineering students and university hijinks!" Except for the fangirls, I think (at least I hope) folks are finally moving past those types of BLs to more mature BLs, such as this.
I'll be generous and say that 10% of each episode actually drives the story forward and the rest is nonsense.…
Totally agree. Not only the contrived situations, but the seemingly endless tropes, stereotypes, and cliches. One of the very few redeeming qualities of this series is that at least it's NOT about engineering and medical students! LMFAO!
OK. I get that a lot of posters are down on Lom for being a douche-bag. On that point, I agree. However, everyone is acting like Nuea is some kind of blameless puppy. That's BS! Nuea knowingly slept with one of his clients, who was already engaged to be married to someone else. That's pretty sh*tty behavior for anyone to do. Regardless of whatever Lom and Yiwa were doing, what Nuea did makes him nothing more than a male "ho".
But, that's ok with me, I kind of like "hos." LMFAO!
I'm glad Nuea ran back home if only for the fact that we get to meet his family. In spite of everything I'm still…
Agree. However, Nuea is no saint either. He slept with a man who's engaged to another person (and he knew it). And he is their wedding planner! Regardless of the particulars, that's pretty damn sh*tty! Now, he needs to make it right also.
Well, it appears obvious that Thee and Tan stole the show this ep. That's ok. The question is this: with only two eps left, what kind of closure will we get from the second couple, if any?
My question with tropes like these...if the so-called "rich-guy" is so rich and arrogant who thinks he's above…
Well, part of that trope is the "power dynamic." In order to maintain that belief of "being above" everyone (superior), one has to continue to display the power dynamic over those seen as "beneath" them (inferior).
Interesting synopsis. I'm not sure I agree or disagree about this series, I'm still smh. What I do know is this:…
No, I haven't read the book. So, I'll take your word on that. However, I guess we'll have to see if it actually does go against its trope-like first ep.
Many folks were stating this was a "good" first ep. I'm just smh??? IDK, I guess the newest trope in Thai BLs is to fall into the river and travel back in time... LMFAO!
Before people start oh hate bully romance . 1. It's too soon to judge what will happen .2. Director already said…
Interesting synopsis. I'm not sure I agree or disagree about this series, I'm still smh. What I do know is this:
This is another enemy to lovers/ rich kid vs poor kid/high school bullying series. Nearly 1/2f to possibly 2/3 of all Thai BLs (with a high school theme) have this trope. It's a popular trope, but it's still a trope. I don't believe that director is doing anything other than following what is popular in BLs in Thailand. If these types of BL weren't so popular, there wouldn't be so many of them being made (like cars off an assembly line) -- and that's totally alright. Because the BL industry is still a business and production companies "give the people what they want" and will make money.
Agreed. Even with the wedding being the idea of Yiwa and Marine, they both told Lom to tell Nuea that it was all…
Yeah, but Nuea's co-worker told him anyway (after he explained what was going on). I get that. But, wtf didn't Imm call Nuea and just tell him what was going on! Client or not, what company gives out personal info about their employees to strangers! This was just sh*tty writing on MAME's part.
But, that's ok with me, I kind of like "hos." LMFAO!
