This series is really good. But there are a couple of plot issues I don't get. 1) I'm not sure if Jom is just dimwitted and doesn't fully understand that he is in a different time period; or 2) Why does it appear that Jom doesn't even want to know why he's there or is anxious to get back to his own time period? I'm sure that the next eps will probably answer these questions. But you'd think there would've been some hints within the storyline so far to tell us something.
Idk if I'm dumb but holy shit that age gap was a jump scareI didn't realize bro was a minor
I agree with you on the "minor" thing. However, I'm not really that sure. But in the web novel, Fan Ze Rui is closer to being in his mid-twenties, as opposed to Hsu Kai's stated age here on MDL. That would put him about 7 years older than Bai Zong Yi, which is kind of/sort the same situation as other characters in Thai BL's (where there is an older/younger scenario (such as Cutie Pie, Naughty Boy, and even Lovely Writer).
WoW! Neo is killing this role! All his past nice guy roles were preparing him for this. He's not only an asshole. But, a crazy, sexy, know how to get his groove on asshole. Love him or hate him, you sure can't ignore him! LMFAO!
this is the pacing that I want, some series out there give you a lot of fan service without complex character…
Interesting synopsis, but I must respectfully disagree. Although I would agree with you that more than likely many posters are probably not used to series of this nature. Not having read the novel, it does appear that the pacing on this (12) ep. series is very slow. I'm not sure we're getting character development or a coherent story plot, But I am sure of what we've gotten up to this point. We've gotten infidelity, time travel, sexual assault, and a time period and culture where women are denigrated. So far, other than the period cinematography (which is pretty good btw) and the two mains being perfect "eye candy," I fail to see the qualities of the series that you speak of.
But, I'm willing to wait and see how this series progresses before making "too much of a mountain out of a molehill."
Actually, that ending was very close to the ending in the novel. They made a couple of changes. But, it's pretty…
If it continues to follow close the novel, then Su Yu enters the air force academy and becomes an officer and Wu Bi goes into business for himself. However, I'm curious as to how season 2 will incorporate Duo? Hmmm?
