That's kind of what I was thinking, too. Except, one of my theories was that the doll made recordings -- I remember Tonkao's friend saying she liked the doll because it could talk or something. Maybe the doll recorded something??
Since this series has "chosen" to focus more on the story (in true lakorn fashion) rather than on the luv story between Charn and Tin (at least for now), I want to know the following: 1) What's up with the doll and why did the niece value it above the one Tin made? and 2) Why did Tin's niece have to die over the doll? I have a couple of theories, but I'd like to know what others think.

Very good points! However, let's not forget that Thai BLs have become a booming industry that can make $$$ (merchandising, fan meets, streaming meets, etc.). The production companies specifically cast many of these actors in these made-from-novels/mangas/web-series etc. to "cash in". IDK if they're really concerned with the quality of the acting vs the popularity of the series (or its actors).

Agreed. I too think they've improved and that the story is slow/dull. But, what I think I'm shm most is the fact that yet again, Joong is playing someone "cool and suave" and Dunk is playing someone "clumsy, and nerdy." If the producers had really wanted to make this series not so dull, IMO, why couldn't they have Joong/Dunk play opposite roles?
I know there may be some haters to this series, but I kind of like it. Yeah, it's definitely not like most of the Thai BLs. It's a lakorn for sure. I just hope this will be as good (or at least comparable) as "TSWL." I really like Film's character (at least so far) of Charn. He's sexy, flirtatious, sure of himself, bold and totally unapologetic. A definite improvement over his character in TSWL. Tinn won't know what hit him! LMBO!!!

Just remember all. Unless this series is being made "underground," the producers of this series will never allow Su Yu and Wu Bi go beyond a "bromance." That's just how they (Chinese series) roll. So, all of you watching and enjoying it beware.
I'm still smh over this series. Even with all the cuteness, the love making scene between Rain and Payu, and the saving of Sky by Prapai, this series really had some bad stuff intertwined.
1) Not only was Rain manipulated and humiliated by Payu. He was assaulted in his own home, when his mother was in the next room. I would hope that "forcing" and unwanted enema on another person is NOT acceptable, even in Thailand. Also, messing with someone car during a storm (just to get them to be stuck and you can assist them) is REALLY psycho-like behavior. But, as a result Rain and Payu fall in love. Hmmm!
2) Now, the way Prapai literally "coerced" Sky into having sex with him to be able to leave, hmmm! If it were a Western culture, that behavior could easily be seen as "coercion," "unlawful detention," or even a form of sexual assault. Then there was the stalking. But, as a result Sky and Prapai fall in love. Hmmm!
I realize that this is a series based on a web-story, book or manga, and that it's written for a specific group into this sort of media. And, folks have a right to watch it and even enjoy it, if they want. All of that is cool! I just keep smh to why can't these writers and/or production companies produce books/stories and series that at least occasionally promote a more healthy portrayal of a lgbtq+ relationship. Folks will still read and folks will still watch -- at least I think????
Well, this series reunites Tay and New. They've worked together in the "Kiss" series (including Our Skyy), so it will be interesting to see them in these roles. They actually have good chemistry. But I'll be interested to see how they pull off this Thai version of Cherry Magic; the Japanese version of the series that was great!
I'm really smh about this series. I kind of liked it, but I'm not really sure why. Let me explain. I liked the fact that it "wasn't" about high school or uni boys. I liked that it wasn't about doctors or engineers. I liked the fact that it had a main character (Jeng - Man) who was lgbtq+ , but his character was portrayed liked any other person, with no over-the-top lgbtq+ stereotypes. I'm not so sure about some of the other characters (Pat, Chot, etc.). Finally, I liked that the series had a fairly decent ending for the main characters.
Now, as for what I didn't really like about the series. I didn't like some of the pacing between eps. I didn't like the 2 year story gap in the last ep, without any flashback or info. I didn't like all the immaturity portrayed by Pat (even though he was portraying a younger character). So, all-in-all, I still say it was an "OK" series and I'm not sure that it's worthy of a season 2. But, who knows!
This first ep. wasn't so bad. Actually, it was kind of entertaining. I just wished this series hadn't gone down that same old "route " of a guy chasing after a girl (usually his dream girl), only to end up ultimately falling for a boy. This type of plot is becoming an all too nuanced "trope" in several of the more recent Thai BLs.
I'm kind of SMH on this series. Even though I "think" I understand much of the "plot" (I use that term as loosely as anyone can), this series is still all over the place! It has a few cutesy moments between the "young" cast and a few sexy moment between the "grown ups." But once you minus these moments, there's basically nothing left in the series. For a mini-series, IMO, they're trying to do too much, especially with (3) distinct storylines. It's easy to get lost watching this series. Now, I'm not saying the series is bad (believe me I've seen much worse). I'm just saying it's NOT very good.
