Drunk sex was never romantic, it’s a sexual released. I don’t believe this drama intended to be anything romantic…
I don't disagree with your analysis. It may be totally on point. However, I was commenting that I don't get why the storyline has to begin with either drunk, rape, or drug sex and that some may think that's romantic or cute.
I’m not sure people think THAT part of the relationship is romantic or cute.
LOL! Unlike "some" who post on MDL, I don't take any of the comments seriously. I actually agree with much of your comment, especially the storytelling part. It's just that "some" of us, myself included, would like to see the BL genre "grow-up" and expand beyond its "traditional" roots (i.e., ONLY using tropes, stereotypes, cliches, to tell the story). Yeah, I get it, "whatever it takes to draw them in." It's the same with any media, especially social media. But I guess they are giving "what the people want." I might not agree with it, but I do understand and accept it. Thanks for your response!

Well, I read your string. It appears that there are still those who see these scenes as ok and may actually enjoy it. As for me, I don't get it. Well, actually I think I do get it, but I choose not to voice that opinion.
OMG! Another drunk sex storyline. Geez! Are there no other stories the writers of these BLs can come up with other than two guys getting together after drunk sex, rape sex, or drug sex. I really don't get why folks think that's romantic or even cute. I know "to each his own." But, I just don't get it.
The "inner thoughts" and "perception flashbacks" are what I think are the most interesting. They fill all the blanks to the current story. But I'm like most the posters here. After nearly (4) years in college and about 1 or 2 years of living together, Hira's cringy, creepy, over-idolizing, obsessed-fan behavior should've lessened up at least a little. Instead, it seems to have gotten worse??!! What's up with that???
This ep. was just toooooo much! LMBO! Here's the synopsis:
1) How the hell did they track Neung and Palm to their hideout? Did they follow Neung there? If so, where's the bodyguards? Did they track Palm? How'd they know he was back in town? Why didn't they kill them there and get it over with? LOL!
2) WTF with Palm just leaving his mom on the ground without at least calling an ambulance or the police? I get it. Just book with your boyfriend and leave your mom hanging! Hahaha! Once Neung left, why didn't he at least go back and check on mom? "IF" she's dead, what no funeral!!! LOL!
3) Finally, and I guess this last comment could be blamed on Neung "being a teenager." But why confront the enemy WITH NO FRIGGIN PLAN! He said his dad and mom taught him a lot. When the hell was he going to start using "what he was taught?"
WRITERS! Wake your stupid asses up and write a decent ending to this!!! Geez!
As others and I have said, this ep was hilarious and filled with plot holes. But, overall, the series is still enjoyable. So, I can't wait to see how they wrap it up in the next two eps. Personally, I hope both the moms don't end up dead, Chopper turns on dear old dad for his lovelorn Ben, and both Neung and Palm pull some badass trickeroo on Uncle Kit.
I'd recommend watching My Beautiful Man (trust me and stick with it past the first 2 episodes, it gets much much…
I sometimes prefer the plots and acting in the Japanese, Taiwanese, and Korean BLs to those of Thai. They just seem more mature in their stories and focus, at least in IMO. So, I will give it a go. Surprised I had not heard of this before. Thanks!
I rewatched this after seeing it the first time around. I thought I would've changed my perspective after reading many comments. Well, Nah, I haven't changed my mind. Yes, the onscreen version is much tamer than the book version. No doubt! Don't believe me, read it for yourself. Yes, I totally agree that the acting was better than average. The scenery, music/sound, and directing were all better than average, especially for a BL. As a matter of fact, the series felt more like a traditional Korean or Taiwanese series than a Thai BL -- and maybe that was the effect that the producers were going for. It was definitely a "big budget" project. I definitely liked that aspect of the series! I guess what I'm saying is this,"KinnPorsche looked, felt, or resembled any traditional Thai BL most of have seen" and that was refreshing, IMO. On that fact alone, I would rate the series at least an 8.5.
Now, as for the plot, that is something totally different. You have to remember. This series takes place within the confines of the Mafia world and a particular Mafia family. The story involves all those things we've typically come to expect from Mafia stories. They're filled with brutality, violence, and mayhem of many types and forms, including involvement with drugs, rape, and even murder. That's what you get when you watch Mafia shows. I personally don't mind all the violence associated with Mafia shows (if that's what I've chosen to watch). However, I'm not so sure I would prefer it in a " traditional BL." Then again, KinnPorsche is definitely not a "traditional BL." LMBO!
Finally, although many chose their favorite couples, yada yada yada, and participated in the debate of whether Kinn raped Porsche and whether it was Stockholm or Lima Syndrome for Vegas and Pete. Based on my knowledge of psychological issues (I was a practicing therapist), IMO, the way the series portrayed those scenes (whether they meant to or not) heavily inferred that Pete and Vegas' relationship was Stockholm syndrome. I honestly believe that many of the posters here on this site actually liked those scenes (for whatever reasons). I'm just not one of them. I don't prefer any kind of visual media that involves the sexual assault of another person as if that is NOT a bad thing. I mean sexual assault is usually accepted as normal or expected, glossed over, often glorified and romanticized, and hardly ever in receipt of justice or punishment. That's just me.
I will get off my soapbox and rewatch another BL. Happy watching to those who haven't seen KinnPorsche. I hope you enjoy it, and if you don't. You can join the rest of us that had a few issues with it. LMFAO!
Hmmm! Interesting series so far. It has that "soap opera" feel to it. Thank goodness the focus isn't on HS boys in blue/black shorts OR uni boys from the faculties of engineering, medicine or architecture. LMFAO! Although the story of a one-night stand developing into something "more" isn't new to BL, I am curious to see where this miniseries goes. Earth and Mix seem to work well together.
I'm still shaking my head on this one... I quickly figured out that this was a "mini-series" anthology with (3) different couples stories going on here. What surprised me the most was that these "boys" actually are young enough to be in high school (if they're listed ages are correct) and probably were in high school when filming this series. It's been awhile since this has happened. LOL! I have no problem with the series pseudo-sexual tone, as high schoolers (at least in the west) often think about and having sex while in high school. That's nothing new. LMBO! But, although two of the couples have fairly common story lines (mistaken love and "brother" love) for BL, the couple dealing with BDSM and blackmail is a bit much. Then all of this superimposed over a murder?? OK Is this series supposed to be a drama, a mystery, a soft porn, unrequited love or a combination of all four? I can't stop laughing and shaking my head, but I can definitely stop watching! And I will! LMFAO!
