Just rewatched this. Yeah, it still drags a bit on some eps. But it's still one of the most emotionally charged BLs out there. At times, IMO, it hard not to shed a tear, especially at all the things that happen to Korn and InTouch. Yeah, Pharm's character was crying probably a bit more than necessary. But again, I think the series was trying to show the emotional trauma that all were going through. At times, you seem like you feel their trauma. At least, I did. UWMA still ranks as one of the most "unique" BLs out there. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Agreed! Especially, Phuwin. That young man can play piano and guitar, sing, as well as having a very good command of English, and Cantonese. GMMTV is wasting his potential.

Tbh, I actually liked the Win/Team characters. Their story did have some depth to it -- much more so than we were led to believe in UWMA. And, I think that's the I problem I have with this. If we had been given a "better" glimpse into the issues with Win/Team, this series probably would have made much more sense, as well as a better connection. But instead, we got all of this depth + all of the additional side couples, and a series that was dragged out beyond belief. We can't even call it a season 2 because it supposedly takes place in the same universe and timeline as UWMA. All I can say is WTF! Maybe instead of having the stories parallel, maybe the Win/Team should have picked up where it left off in UMWA and gone "forward" from there introducing all of their drama as the beginning of their story. THEN, we would actually have a season 2 without necessarily relying on the happenings of UWMA. Just one person's opinion. Please don't hate on me. LMBO!!!

Okay. I guess I can agree with that. They series did tie up all of the loose ends. I guess that means NO season 3. LMBO!

I know many enjoyed this series, while others like me found it boring, bloated with extra side couples, etc. IMO, it lacked all that made UMWA pretty good. It was like it was a totally "different" story unto itself, which would've been fine "if it weren't interconnected to UMWA." Wabi Sabi hyped up the Team/Win story and then gave all that extra "bloat", which IMO wasn't needed or wanted. If they had just focused on the Team/Win story solely, it would've cut the series down to about 4-6 or possibly 6-8 eps and it might've been much better.

Actually, it gets mixed reviews. Some say yes. Others like me say NO. So, you may have to check it out for yourself.

Hmmm. Not really sure how old Thi and Noey are -- you're right, they never really say. Good point -- different cultures, different choices. But in most situations time from being a HS junior to university senior is about (5) years. That's where I got that from. My bad if it's not accurate. LOL!

I dropped this series early on because the it made me uncomfortable in a cringy kind of way. Thi being around 5+ years older than Noey wouldn't have bothered me if Noey wasn't a junior in high school and Thi a senior in college. I felt the same way with HIStory3 MDC with Lu Zhing and Sun Bo. I know that they say age "is just a number." But, when you're in high school and your partner is a senior in college or beyond, it can be a very important number, cultural differences notwithstanding. Maturity also plays an important role.

The whole "boyfriend while on the island" routine seemed too much like the same situation as "Pi and Mork" in Fish Upon the Sky -- where they had a "probationary" relationship. Hmmm!

Hmm. I can see that about H4. The company, IMO, went "off the rails with that one with the whole drunk rape scene by the adopted brother. Definitely not the like the HIStorys of the past.
