After MODC i promised myself to never ever binge series before it's done airing, to make sure all the leads survive.…
I'm not sure if you're right or wrong. But, any good drama usually has a death of a main character at the end. Could be Black? Might be Sean? Might even be someone you don't think will die, like Dan?
This is by far, IMO, the best work Gun has done in a long time. His portrayal of the twins is spot on excellent. If he doesn't win Thailand's version of Oscars or BAFTAs, then something is dreadfully wrong....
As for the ending, as in all good dramas, there will probably be some form of tragedy with one or more of the main characters. Will it be ending saga of Dan and Yok? Will it be the death of Sean? Black? Or both? Where does Todd figure into all of this? Where do Black and White's parents figure into this? Soooo many questions and only 1 ep. to possibly answer them. Or, will there a season 2? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around this series. I think the "Cutie Pie" persona has worn thin very quickly. Yes, the series has a catchy OST (Cutie Pie) which is upbeat and bubbly, etc. Yes, it has two "cute" characters in Kuea and Diao. Unfortunately, IMO, that is all quickly overshadowed by the creepiness, manipulation, the control, the stalking, and the seemingly emotional/psychological abuse perpetrated by Lian and Yi on Kuea and Diao. To me, it's becoming less "cute" with each ep. I find myself hoping to see Kuea and Diao exact some serious "kick-ass" payback on Lian, Yi (and yes even Jay)!
Now that we have a little background on Yi and Kon Diao, Yi (Max) doesn't seem to now be as big of a controlling creep as was presented in the first 2 eps. It'll be interesting if we're told what Yi actually did to Diao that he needs to make amends for. By the dialog between Yi and Lian, it kind of makes you guess that maybe it was sort of vehicle accident (maybe Yi hit him with his car)???
It seems everyone is commenting on how bad Lian and Yi are. I think Jay (Perth) is kind of a sleaze in this series. Wow! At first, it seems like he cares about Kuea, but he's just using Kuea to make his club famous. What a scumbag!
2gether and Bad Buddy. Music was very important to both plots.
Yeah, I guess 2gether did have music integrated into the plot. I'm not so sure about Bad Buddy. It had a couple of songs in the series, but was the music truly integrated??? Hmmm! I will have to rewatch it to be sure. Thanks!
Hey, on a more positive note, New is really talented. He seems to really enjoy singing in this series. There has been singing in many BLs, but I'm not sure that they've really truly integrated music into the plot before. I could be wrong. Does anyone know of a series that has music as an important part of the plot?
Since a LOT of people are having trouble with the idea of consent--which frankly horrifies me--I am linking to…
I like your style! I, too, am concerned at times about people's understanding of "consent." Romanticizing, fantasizing, or any other "izing" involving taking sexual or intimate advantage of inebriated, weaker, or otherwise impaired individuals is a universal no-no, no matter the country, culture or society. It's total BS to figure it any other way.
