considering how some people love to critize him, I wouldn't want to see them flocking over there to hate on him…
Interesting analysis (Singto and Lee switching roles). Hmmm.. I get the impression that Lee's character here is "phobic." I'm just not sure of which phobia. LMBO!
I'm liking the series, too. It's just sometimes I get a little lost in all that's going on here.... LMBO!
P.S. Even though Weir and Punn probably won't end up together, I really don't like Jean. I'd also like to see Weir get just a little "playful payback" on Punn. Remember, he hit in the face with a cake for confessing, and he slapped him for the Pooh incident. LMBO!
The reviews of My Engineer were ALL OVER THE PLACE... And, tbh, I can see why. My Engineer had many of the same old lame trope-like and stereotyped plot inferences that many BL watchers have come to hate. Here are just a few examples: 1) university students from Medicine and Engineering; 2) jock character pursuing a "girlish" character; 3) bullying, and misunderstanding; and mains that not as interesting as the side couple(s).
However, even with all that it had going against it, silly plot, questionable mains, etc., it was, IMO, still a fairly fun series to watch. It really did have its entertaining moments, as well as good teachable moments (scene with Bohn and Duen after Bohn thought Duen had taken sexual advantage of him was a good one). There also weren't any really toxic issues or things that would make you say hmmm!. It was simply kind of cutesy and low-key. Most posters are awaiting a season 2 to see the progression of the King/Ram blossoming romance. Well, me too. LMBO
All-in-all, I'd rate this series as "O.K." If I had to give it a number out of 10, I'd be comfortable with a overall score of 7.5 - 8.0 range. It wasn't as good as some, but yet still better than many others.
This was such a good BL. It deserves a season 2, even though the HIStory series don't usually do that.
PS. The Taiwanese BLs have really stepped up their game, as far as plot, story, actors, characters, etc. The Thai BLs are starting to seriously lag behind, IMO.
HELPPP. I tried to watch a few shows to keep myself busy until bad buddy adds an other episode but every BL serie…
Sotus has a place in many Bl genre hearts. Although there was BL, not like Sotus (at the time). It was one of the first BLs to give us a "story" behind the BL . And, the progression of the series (albeit many thought was too slow) actually, IMO, kind of made sense. You could sort of say that Sotus helped usher in the "modern" BL genre.
This is kind of like a Shakespearean farce, there is a lot going on and it's got a lot of dumb humor, but I think…
Totally agree. It's all over the place! LMBO But, I think that's part of the fun of the series, IMO. I'm not sure about the series a BL. But, I'd definitely say it's a "bromance."
It’s already top among all Thai BLs as of now. And hope it will continue to go up (It should). But there is still…
Actually, I did read the novel, and I remember the second half the story very well. Yes, I would agree that it was explicit. And yes, I could see why the Chinese government would not look so favorably with someone portraying their military in that manner. Perhaps the government didn't want it known that behavior such as that actually goes on in their military. Hmmm? That and much worse has been reported in the Russian military.

I'd heard that. It's just sad that China has banned traditional BLs and only allowing watered-down bromance series. I actually liked Advanced Bravely and Addicted Heroin.

Once again, totally agree on the potential folks. LOL As to a possibility of why some series garner more than 100+ million views, it could be that the population of the Asiatic region measures over 4.5 billion. From that perspective, a 100 million view potential doesn't seem so daunting... Just my opinion, though.

Totally agree. But, The Untamed, IMO, is on another level than traditional "bls" or even "bromances." for that matter. Epic period Chinese series have always been great, when done right. Also, with a potential 1 billion folks watching the series, how could it not be popular....
At a current 8.7 rating from posters, this series currently has surpassed many other very popular BL series commented on this site, even those of Tales of a Thousand Stars, Tharn-Type, We Best Love 1 & 2, and even I Told Sunset About You, just to name a few. If it continues on this pattern, Bad Buddy may receive the highest commenter rating of any other BL ever on this site. Wow! What an achievement that would be!
BTW, I knew I didn't like Jean for a reason... LMBO 🤣!

PS - My favs were We Best Love (1&2)...
