People who seemed good are actually bad. People who are bad, are not that bad. People who seemed like they would never do anything crazy will do something crazy.

Don't worry. Everything will make sense at the end. It's actually brilliantly written. Even the servants' death that may seem insignificant matter. I don't want to spoil it for you, so you'll have to see. I was very surprised when I was reading. I thought I could predict everything, but it was not predictable at all.

Characters like Ma Hainiu and Yan Lan'er also play a strong role in the second volume. They may seem kinda useless now but all the characters are important in the novel (even if they are minor characters).

The drama is good, but there are also scenes that were cut from the novel. The drama does a good job with the sequencing though.

Yes, it is. It's very sad, but it's also very touching. All the characters are really pitiful, in a way.

Fortunately, there are also a lot of funny/cute/lighter scenes too. If you want to feel more emotions, I would recommend reading the novel.

The novel is complete, but we can't release the whole thing right away. Haha. The novel is more touching than the drama (so far). The internal thoughts of all the characters just make you understand them a lot more. They can't show that in the drama.
