If you are blaming a girl who was groomed from such younger age. Then you are the problem. You will pray the price…
Also, you are not her. She grew up with exploitative parents who forced her to be the family's breadwinner. And that too by working in a shallow, toxic and predatory industry. When you're not brought up in such a dysfunctional and unsafe environment, of course, you end up having skewed perception of morality. She is not the one at fault here for being preyed upon by an adult.
You will watch it or not, that's your opinion. The casts and crew will get more chances to do work but if we watch…
The only people cheering for NewJeans are their fans.
And secondly, for every Seo Yeji that came back (let's just act like she didn't lose a significant portion of her fanbase lmao), there are many more examples of women who couldn't come back after minor scandals. Goo Hara, Sulli and now, Kim Saeron. Hyuna lost her entire career for just dating a man involved in the Burning Sun scandal. You need to ask yourself why a man like Seungri still has fans before you try to turn this into an gender bias debate. You are somehow convinced that men have it harder than women in an industry that is inherently predatory.
Y'all are weird. I'm 17 and tbh even I wouldn't date a 15-year-old. I can't imagine what could entice a 27-year-old to romantically pursue a 15-year-old. You're at completely different stages and maturity levels in life. You have literally nothing in common.
As for the drama I'll be watching it because everyone else worked really hard.
And by doing that, remember, you'll also be supporting a groomer! He'll probably get the biggest cut of the profits out of anyone in the cast. And you'll be sending a message that no matter what men do, if they're good-looking, famous and wealthy enough, they will get away with it. I hope you sleep well at night knowing that.
You will watch it or not, that's your opinion. The casts and crew will get more chances to do work but if we watch…
We believe it because all the evidence that has come out so far, proving that he dated her when she was a minor.
Please, do you really think Seo Yeji's case is comparable to this one? Seo Yeji's scandal was about her mistreating her boyfriend. This one concerns the death of a young actress. Wake tf up.
And y'all are delusional if you believe a word said by KSH or his agency. They denied dating rumours last year when Sae-ron posted a picture with him, essentially throwing her under the bus and leaving her to be cyberbullied by netizens. They denied dating rumours again this year, only admitting when they knew the evidence was piling up against them. Do you seriously believe him? That the military letter, in which he tells Sae-ron that he loves her, was just written to a friend? How many 30-year-olds do you know who have 'friends' under 20? If the legal notice was just a formality and she wasn't actually expected to pay it back, why would she beg him to give her more time? Why in the world would she take her life on his birthday if things were amicable between them?
All that leaked evidence, and you're still in the phase of "Who knows the truth?" You will never know the truth…
Her family has known to be exploitative. We know that much at least. However, whatever this motives are for speaking up now, we shouldn't ignore all that is coming to light. What's wrong is wrong. Nothing can change that Kim Soo-hyun dated a 15-year-old as a 27-year-old, and just for that, he deserves to be called out.
Like where was everyone when she was being dragged through the dirt? Many were busy badmouthing her and now that…
Okay, I don't wish to bring up what Saeron did because it will shift away focus from the matter at hand...but it didn't end there. Kim Saeron then went on to post pictures of herself working at a cafe to show that she was working a 'normal job' like others. The owners of the cafe later came out and said that she never worked there. So, she was probably faking that job to gain sympathy. That obviously did not sit right with a lot of people. She invited a lot of unnecessary criticism on herself. This could've been easily avoided, but again, she was responsible for her own actions.
I'm not going to pretend that netizens are saints. All I'm saying is that when you choose to become a public figure, you sign yourself up to a life of constant scrutiny. Not that I agree with it, but it is the way it is, always has been and always will be. And it's also one of the reasons why I have always had a lot of sympathy for Kim Sae-ron (and every child actor out there). She did not choose this life. She was in the public eye ever since she was a child. Exploited by her parents and forced to be the family's primary breadwinner. But since acting was all she ever knew and what she did the best, she committed herself to a toxic industry.
Now, though, I'd like to say that two wrongs don't make one right. She made some mistakes during her life. Kim Soo-hyun did not make any mistakes. He's not just another victim of cancel culture. He's a groomer and is being called out rightfully. Shifting the blame on audiences and fans isn't going to do anything.
You guys need to stop convincing yourself that Kim Soo-hyun is just another victim of cancel culture. People are not 'cyberbullying' him, they're rightfully criticizing him. He's a public figure. He chose that life for himself, knowing that he would be under a lot of scrutiny all the time. He should've known better than to 'date' a 15-year-old as an adult. He should've know better than to manipulate the girl, both financially and emotionally. He probably thought that he could get away with it, given his wealth and connections.
For those of you still waiting for the 'truth', were the pictures and texts not enough to convince you that he's at least a creep and an asshole?
And what do you mean that it's annoying that victims wait before they speak up? How is it the victim's fault for being scared that no one will believe them? Look at how people are still defending Kim Soo-hyun in spite of all the evidence that has come out so far. If I recall correctly, when Kim Saeron first posted a picture with Kim Soo-hyun, she said that she would make a statement. She never made a statement, but she got a lot of hate from his fans. Speaking up is never easy for the victim. Especially when you're standing up against one of the most beloved Kdrama actors.
Like where was everyone when she was being dragged through the dirt? Many were busy badmouthing her and now that…
Let me simplify it for you. A DUI is a serious crime. It deserves to be called out. Grooming a 15-year-old is a even worse crime. It deserves to be called out.
Lol username kyra replied to one of my comments " doesnt change the fact most indian men are incels " is that…
I understand that racists are everywhere and that it sucks, but you guys need to take this somewhere else. You're shifting focus away from the main issue at hand.
From what I've seen, the discourse on Korean forums doesn't seem to be in his favour at all. In fact, I've seen more international fans defend him than Korean fans. Instagram is filled with his fangirls from all around the world pledging their loyalties to him and what not.
This pedo is probably going to disappear for 2-3 years and come back to a standing ovation and some awards show…
Even the Koreans seem to be done with him this time. He's getting a lot of heat, and apparently, this news is everywhere in Korea despite receiving no coverage from all the major news outlets.
Not every mistake is of the same gravity, someone should have taught you about the severity of each action. Drinking…
He is one of the highest-paid actors in South Korea. A 700 million won fine probably didn't even make a dent in his treasure. And if the money mattered to him so much, he shouldn't have told Sae-ron that she didn't have to pay it back. Then he randomly sent her a legal notice, demanding the amount to be paid in full at once. She begged him to give her more time to pay back the money. And instead of being understanding, your angelic oppa blocked her and leaked her number to reporters. Don't try to convince me that he couldn't afford to give her more time to pay back the money.

Fly high, Kim Sae-ron 🕊️
