I think the first two episodes where just the set up for the plot to explain how and why they were frozen for 20 years. Honestly, I skipped a lot especially the second episode but I think from next week on it will get interesting.
I really liked it and would love for the story to continue. It feels like it was just the beginning and a lot more to come. But because of the lack of views I highly doubt they will get everyone on board to do another season. The investors are probably pulling out. Actors would have to take a pay cut. Less budget for CGI, staff and props. Even if it is unlikely I still selfishly hope for more seasons.
Episode 2 caught me by surprise. I definitely did not expect to care for all the characters at this point already. But I could not help but to be touched by them. I was crying my eyes out by the end of the episode.
to be fair, this isnt set in the past of our world but another world. So even if they used english words it wouldn't…
I do see your point but Korean language also changed over the years. Following that logic Saram people shouldn't be speaking modern Korean als well, but they do so in this drama. So I think it is not lack of research but rather it was made on purpose. It's just simply part of that world that the languages they are using are modern to us in our world. And you are also right that Neanderthals did exist but everything about them in this drama was fiction. So I really would not expect historical accuracy from this fictional world e.g. they did not have blue or purple blood. This is quite an obvious and somewhat ridicules example but it does get the point across.
This is getting so much better, it's so sad that it lost viewers in the beginning :(
I dropped it at ep4 but then gave it yesterday another chance and ended up watching five episodes in a row and am now excited for tonight's episode to come out.
I really dislike that kdramas lately always have the need to squeeze in some sort of dramatic past experience.…
I really liked the whole fangirl plot. But they kind of dropped that in the end and instead focused on the whole mum plot and also that one incident from the past. To me that was just nothing new. We saw similar things in quite too many dramas already. I just hoped at least it would be revealed that she is a She An stan but they did not do even that.
I really dislike that kdramas lately always have the need to squeeze in some sort of dramatic past experience. I loved the first like 10 episodes but then had to skip quite a lot.
this movie is adapted from the 1954 novel La Femme de paille by Catherine Arley (not that I watched the original but just leaving it here maybe someone might find this information useful) I love both main leads but the movie is just not that great imo
first episode was good. I wish the actress who played the real/original Go Se Yeon would be the female lead. I never saw her before and during this ep I wrongly assumed she would be the main. No hate towards park bo young though. can't wait for the next ep.
I like that FLs are smart und that ML it not all just black or white. I appreciate the input that went into creating those characters. This drama was therefore interesting for the first like 4 episodes.
But now that its focus is a past traumatic experience it is becoming less and less worth watching. That kind of plot - overcoming a past traumatic experiences or something from the past is just overused. It never was exiting to me in the first place but I still watched too many dramas with that plot so at this point I can already tell I won't be able to finish it without skipping a lot and that I will be glad when this drama is finished. So as sad as it is for the great characters instead of forcing myself to finish it I will just drop it, unfortunately.
ooh wow ep 6 I honestly thought the comment section was overly sensitive and exaggerating about the editing. ...…
at least it was very insightful about how much usually is getting edited and also about how it is getting done. like for example the tv scene the naive me who does not know much about film making always just assumed they would film what they would show on the tv first and just play the recording of it on the tv for real while filming the other scene. Obviously, the way it's done makes more sense. So yeah, like I said this episode was very insightful. Also unintentionally quite funny
Highlight/Beast was one of my favorite groups. Actually, one of the three that got me into kpop . He was my bias and now I'm incredibly sad and disappointed.

I agree with you. It honestly got so much better.
