On Love Never Fails Feb 24, 2023
I echo some sentiments about LXY’s role in L&R has turned off some fans. I’m in the same boat, hating HC with a passion. However, it proves he's a good actor and he plays his roles well. So, I try to separate the actor himself from the roles he plays. I watched L@N and TBOY – his acting was exceptional in both, aside from very handsome, charismatic. So, give this drama a try if it’s aired.

The shooting star scenes are romantic for all 4 couples. Well, not really flattering for the puppy couple though, “I’m a prince… and I peed in public….and the girl wiped my bottom” 🤣
I'm curious about the transition from mostly comedic to angst. Are we ready for some heartbreak? I'm not

Wow, a fellow Trekker! Spock from OST or TNG?Jeremy Irons, Lolita, and Thorn Birds, too. Golden Oldies, or what?
Yep :-) old soul I must say. Growing up with parents who are Trekkers. And, by the way, love the Thorn Bird both the book and the show.
Live long and Prosper!

Oh boy, what can I say. The relationship between the leads makes my skin crawl. Some commentors mention Jeremy Irons, spot on. Reminds me of the movie Lolita, at least there was super acting and chemistry there.

This drama reminds me of Sherlock Holmes. We actually have 2 Sir. Sherlock here. One is too righteous, by the book. The other is righteous but a little cunning. They weirdly complement each other well. Also, the detective plots are logically and scientifically sound considering the time period. Bravo

Same, I also loved him in ALP too
Ah, I only watched the first couple eps of that drama. It bored the heck out of me.
I did watch him in love@night. He was hot there - Isn't he always? LOL.
I really like him and the FL here. They would made a lovely CP. Hope the drama will be epic

I hate LXY in L&R; love him in TBOY, his quirkiness, wittiness, and subtle arrogance like I know I’m the best looking Monk in the entire universe LOL.
Waiting to see another side of him in this drama if it will ever air at all.

Beautiful, artistic martial arts, too much of them may give you a whiplash. Brotherhood and friendship that last a lifetime. That's my take on this drama.
Sum up about romance, hinted romance, or whatever romance
The two sword deities - poetic, tragic
Wu Jie & Ruo Yi - cute, adorable -Wu Jie "If I die and we win the battle, Ruo Yi, remember me" LOL
TL & the Fairy - sweet
Xiao Se & Qian Luo - whatever romance there is, It's as cold as an iceberg. If they have to push it, add some fire please.

A Fu really reminds me of Anakin Skywalker
At least Anakin's 2 kids survived. But who knows, these are immortals & demons. They can bring back the deaths in no time, LOL

Oh, then do you think LB should stay with that manipulator Afu?
It's not the point for me. Their relationship is toxic to begin with. However, The idea of going from one brother to another makes me feel uneasy, especially she already gave herself to Afu. The show laid out the reasons why she did what she did and why He Na. We, viewers can agree or disagree.

I know - for whatever reason. However, to state it bluntly, she went from one bro's arm to another's, gross. On top of that, He Na, with his highty mighty righteousness, agreed to it, knowing her relationship with his brother? Grrr, damn C-dramas with their unlogical twists and turns

Ok, she's in love with the younger bro and they intimated. Now, she's marrying the older bro. For whatever reason, it's still too gross, IMO. Unless it's a marriage in name only.

and it is true i also been charmed by he na, staying still in this drama for him lol.
Ah, i'm glad that he's still saint. And damn that mischievous brother. LOL. TBH, this show is one of the few that I didn't skip a scene. I like the leads in their other dramas. But they just didn't click for me in this one, so sad. And I hate the feeling of rooting for HN knowing FL will never love him. Darn it!

I like the story, pace of the show. However, I put it on hold after ep 18 as I found myself rooting for, well, He Na. Chemistry is highly subjective. And for me, HN's emotion, longing toward the FL was trumping the chemistry between the leads themselves. I hate the SML syndrome, so much so that I have to put the show on hold. Till ep 18, HN reminded me of MoShanShan in Ever nigh series. Knowing his love is unrequited, he stepped aside gracefully and helped the leads when they were in trouble. At the end of ep 18, there was a hint that he might turn dark ( like Run Yu in AOL) which I would rather not see. If in the end, HN is still alive and able to move on and find peace ( just like MoShanShan and Run Yu did), I'll come back.
