The drama turns Ye Xian into a kid throwing tantrums. Then Gu Lan, who was a despicable character who met a tragic end in the novel, is given a redemption arc in the drama and becoming Ye Xian's love interest maybe? Its like reinventing a recipe. Just borrow the main ingredients then cook a complete different dish
where can you upload? I also want CiSha 's pic....
I found that actors post more pics on their studio sites which are hard to find. The official drama site only has links to their offical sites. I have to dig into fans comments to find the links to studio sites. Took me awhile to find Ren Min and WinWin sudio sites. I just found Ci Sha studio site, still have not been able to find Zuo Ze studio. You can see bunch of pics on X or supertopic sites, but they are mostly fan edits
Ok fans, i finally found Ci Sha pics from his official sites and will upload continuously. I only upload from the drama and actors' official sites and include all pics as this is not a one man show.
Powerful rival? sorry I like the boy but he is not even a rival to ml so far. Let not exaggerated.
Again, as i said, if the drama sticks to the novel, based on the novel. May not be the case if they changed in the drama. So, no exaggeration. And no need to say sorry
Love the OST of this drama. The ending song is beautiful. And the opening music, I always rewind few times just to listen to it. It's a Waltz. I keep imagining the two former Beijing Dance Academy students waltz to it.
Some complains about ML's screentime. That is the aspect somewhat follows the novel. He didnt appear much later. We'll see plenty of him later on. Also, too many name callings about Ye Xian. Yes he rubs us the wrong way in the drama. But he is extreemly intelligent, powerful, rival with ML if the screenplay sticks with the novel which i hope. And it seems it did, based on reuters i see.
I'm watching this as an idol period genre, instead of a drama that follows proper household etiquette bc a noble…
That's her personality in the novel. She has a really bad reputation, so much so that her family were worried that no one would want to marry her. It was one of the reason that Ye xian family opposed her. When reading the novel, i felt that she was kind of ahead of her time. But i dont think that drunken scene was in the novel. Yes its a bit exaggerated
Im gonna get a lot of heat by saying this, but i wish, even though its not gonna happen, that Gu Jin Chao ended up with Ye Xian. The novel treated Ye Xian unfairly to fit the narative, yet the feeling he had for Gu was endearing.
The switching back and fort between timelines really gives me a whiplash. But, the weathered, tired, dejected look on RFX face makes me tear up every time.
Aside from the murder mystery, it is a heartfelt story. He Xiao He grew up under the wings of her dad and Uncle Ran, following their footsteps and finishing what they started. There is a short clip in one of the trailors where the adult Xiao He standing in an empty room, lost in thoughts and imagined Uncle Ran sitting there smiling at her. Not sure if i need tissues ready.
This website never has a separate section for 'special leads' or 'guest stars'. Either they are listed as a main…
I know. It should probably put her as supporting role, similar to The lonely warrior in which she was also a guest star and appeared only from ep 20. Thanks by the way
The cast list is not really correct. The main leads are only Dylan and Pan Yue. Ren Min is a guest star. And she would only appear later as the adult Xiao He.

No need to be triggered.

That particular scene was so undignified.
