Before that, his brother didn’t die yet. So now his brother is dead. Plus, Jin Han isn’t the most emotionally stable person. He’s right up there next to the king lol. Maybe he’s not as crazy (he might get there eventually lol) Then Myung Ha setting up a fake attestment note against Jin Han on the behalf of Jong Bae (hence killing him), he now thinks that they (baduk players & Mong Woo) might be colluding against Jin Han, hence the punishment.

She definitely did it on purpose to catch the kings attention. It’s been 3 years, mostly likely the only one who knows/remember Mong Woo is Jin Han, his personal guard, Hyun Bo, Myung Ha so far. Plus, HeeSoo knows that she is a great baduk player. I don’t think anyone will go against Jin Han if he wanted to play baduk against Mong Woo.

It’s seems like next week ep will show what happen between those 3 years! I don’t think it’s rushed since we’re 1/4 through the drama. The drama has a good pacing. I’ve seen comments saying the drama is too slow or boring lol. But it’s perfect for me ☺️

Jin Han never forgot about Mong Woo after 3 yrs, that’s why he set up a baduk tournament to find Mong Woo. He wants a baduk instructor. He got tired playing alone. Remember when Jin Han says that Mong Woo & Jin Han are friends regardless of class, so anyone (men) can sign up for the tournament. Seems like Mong Woo will enter the court this way & be Jin Han’s personal instructor/ assistant? I think Court Lady Dong is part of Jin Han concubine?

I’m loving the direction of the story! Can’t believe Myung Ha created this whole misunderstanding between Jin Han & Mong Woo/HerSoo 😒 I knew Jin Han was going to end up like his brother 🥲. And to those who might be taken aback by Jin Han’s behavior, filial piety is the most important between royal family. Plus, Jin Han hasn’t been the most emotionally stable guy either lol. Im so sad for Hong Jang. I’m excited to see Mong Woo/HeeSoo place in the court! Also the acting was top notch in this episode.

In the character chart it says that she has affection for him.

I think the story will pick up after ep 4 when Jin Han becomes king & the dynamic between the characters will change.

I love the conversation scene between Chief Kang (HeeSoo dad) & HeeSoo. Son Hyun Joo is such a terrific actor 🥹 so much emotions in his eyes. He plays tragic fathers really well.

Yeah! The makeup is off putting but I’m just going to ignore it so I can freely enjoy this drama 🤣

This drama is about revenge & cross dressing. HeeSoo becomes a spy later on. There will be a lot of deceiving happening lol. Jin Han did mention that Mong Woo might have secrets so he may be slightly aware that Mong Woo is not speaking to him truthly. But he is still curious & interested in Mong Woo.

Myung Ha says that women parading in men’s clothing is a punishable crime & it would impact HeeSoo father’s reputation if she’s discovered. No woman (especially a noble woman with HeeSoo status) would think of dressing up as a man because of severe consequences. Thats why no one questions Mong Woo’s identity. Sure they could make SSK appear as a man more (tone down the makeup & whatnot) but Jin Han sees Mong Woo as a man, not a woman.
