When Minchae goes through HD’s drawer to get HD’s diary in ep 1, there’s a letter that reads ‘To Hee Do, With Love’ on the envelope. I wonder if it’s from YJ?

Is YJ speaking with an accent? That’s something I just noticed when I watched both ep.

I’m fine with them casting older actors. My only gripe was that they didn’t cast an older woman to play the grandma.

Maybe? I’m not sure what was going through the writer’s mind. Yes, it’s a beautiful song.

Also, I adore HD a lot. The writer wrote her with so much details. Might be one of my fave FL in kdramas. She isn’t written to be a typical poor pitiful FL & despite coming from a well off family, she still has her own internal struggles & low self esteem masked under a bright exterior which makes her all more relatable. Plus, she’s so fun to watch.

The director is great but the writer KES is for King Enternal Monarch is not lol. I don’t think her writing is good. Her decent one at most was Mr Sunshine but the writer here for 2521 is really good! And the directing here is very goood!

Suprised that this director did King’s Eternal Monarch. When you have competent writers u get something really special. The writer here for 2521 knows how to write female characters. Cinematography is top notch. One thing that I notice about 2521 is that there are a lot of one shot takes(less edit cut by cut) & far panoramic view shots which is my fav style of directing. It’s a more immersive experience when watching as a viewer. Also the color palette is immaculate and there so many amazing single frame shots.

It’s probably because there’s so much dramas like these that has bittersweet endings I want to see something different lol. But yes, let’s see what happens.

There’s a lot of period dramas genre like these overstuffed with sad or bittersweet endings nowadays. I want it to subvert tropes so hopefully YJ isn’t dead. I think it having a happy ending would really surprise me.
