The production company and ENA barely promoted this drama lol. It’s the viewers that made it a hit. I mean it garnered over 4.5 million views in its finale. It was word of mouth that got people watching. It went from 0% rating to 17%. So the hype was built up. Whether you like it or not it’s subjective but it is considered a commercial box office hit in SK and internationally.

Yes. Public tv are like MBC, SBS, KBS. Those are the big 3 main public tv distributors. Cable TV is more like JTBC, TVN, Chosun, ENA. Cable tv are paid subscriptions like Netflix.

Cable tv has gotten very popular over the years where as public tv has seen a decrease in watchers over the years. Although shows like penthouse & family dramas are still very well watched among public viewers.
