Best intro song! diggin the Chinese rap. Cute and smart lead couple unlike the typical stoic/emotionless male and high on sugar rush female. Character of lead female's sister is irritating but still better than the lead male's brother. That brother acts like he's possessed who urgently needs to be exorcised. And the other side couple are just so...redundant. Love the male's mother and though they medically questionable diagnosis, this drama touches on mental issues. It's a start. A beautiful one.
its a kdrama not a cdrama its totally korean and not chinese
except for the language, location and maybe 2 dialogues, everything else is categorically cdrama- the screenplay, cinematography, production, characters, intro, etc
Really enjoyed but I can't just shrug the fact that the male lead looks very similar to Song Joong Ki or reminiscent touches of Descendants of the Sun (his action gear at the end, the stepping in the mud scene, the female lead in danger sequence, vaguely the chemistry btw second couple, etc...) and him in suit with lighter like a certain Korean-Italian mafioso.
This is a fvked up movie. I mean kissing a girl not in her senses? is mutual consent just a myth? yeah there maybe unadulterated intentions but things can escalate really fast, which is usually the case. Also, backing and trapping a girl against wall and claiming that scared is actually "excitement"? seriously? people like the character Nab Deuk Yi need their asses whooped and not given the positive spotlight. Romanticizing such ideas is dangerous.
Overall a good one but there's one line- "you're not ugly, you're just dark-skinned" that left a stinking aftertaste. Like bitch, she got the natural colour you spray yourself with and isn't just an outline in black and white photos.
All the female characters and actors were perfection. It began with yawn-skip-repeat but gradually got better. The logic was decent but the law practices were trash, nevertheless entertaining. Also, the protagonist always confronts the villain alone, seriously? congrats on being basic. Gonna add that SJK dulls the comic impact and he could've probably used more language training. Overall 7.8/10.
Watched it because the comments were a little too vicious to know exactly how bad could it be and honestly I don't understand the fuss over the ending or the romance. It had healthy and realistic dynamics, which I guess goes against the precedent of fairytale endings of romance dramas. Not to say that it's flawless, I mean I loved the story and all the characters but the acting felt unnatural and the lines were often too cringey.
