Started watching it because of these overwhelmingly positive reviews and high ratings but I'm kinda disappointed. It's so predictable and cliche that at times it feels (borderline) silly. But I've watched 4 episodes so far. The acting is really good, though.
Nah, it feels like a sister/brother relationship. And the ship is somewhat bl-ish I'd say.
In the comments I saw someone recommended Secrets in the Hot Spring, which is also Taiwanese, has similar humor, tagged Supernatural/Mystery. Hikaru no Go has a strong bromance, pretty good overall. Kei×Yaku is not the best plot-wise but the dynamics of their relationship makes it kinda interesting, definitely bl vibes. Idk it's really hard to find something as good as this :(
The comments are 100% praise. There are only 5 reviews so far (including one I just posted), but all 5 gave it…
Viewers who didn't particularly like the series are reluctant to share their opinion because of how exceptionally positive all the comments/reviews are. Like no one wants to receive a bunch of hate comments just for sharing their opinion. It makes sense.
It's pretty underwhelming, feels like a typical lakorn qualitywise. The leads' acting is kinda stiff, awkward at times (the way some scenes are edited adds up to this awkwardness). Their chemistry is not bad, though.
https://blwatcher.com/bl-series/to-my-star-2-drama-review/I'm so glad that these reviewers saw the show and Ji…
It makes me happy there are people who actually pay attention to what they see and try to understand the characters. And it's not that hard really. Not for narrow-minded people, though. For them everything's black and white and no one has the right to have feelings, emotions, depth and complexity. Apparently everyone who's a little different is toxic and abusive xD And btw sometimes people get back together after a very long time apart, sometimes they divorce and even remarry the same person. And all these happen in real life!
Guys, if you want fluff go back to watching thai engineer bls. This is so much more than a bl!!!!
I agree. It's still baffling to me so many people miss out on so many things happening in the series, loads of details that contribute to the story and give depth to the characters.
Idk Korean and Chinese viewers (for the most part) seem fine with how it goes, optimistic and understanding. Some even want season 3, that's how much they enjoy it. Here is the only place where I see so many pissed, annoyed, impatient people. I'm still kinda perplexed. It feels like we are watching different shows. Maybe that's because the series is intended for more mature audiences.
I like how this series makes me feel things, which is quite rare given that most bl shows are kinda bland and forgettable. I'm genuinely enjoying this angst and uncertainty.
This comment section reminds me of when Utsukushii Kare was airing. When most viewers kept getting triggered, hated the MC and kept using such words as toxic, jerk, humiliating, all that stuff. They also came to conclusions without trying to understand the characters. I won't spoil the ending but it was good, satisfying and made perfect sense. I'm sure TMS's ending is gonna be like this too. Hwang Da Seul won't disappoint us, she never does. Just have some patience.
