Amazingly beautiful cinematography, seriously top notch. OST is quite beautiful too. Plot wise quite interesting, although nothing mindblowing, could guess most of the killers and the ending. Chemistry between the actors are great.

I found another youtube channel that has it in super HD, up to 4K, and I don't seem to have the BGM issues that some other commenters encountered. In T&R itself, QQ's display of modern gender equality ideals felt sufficient but you're right, when compared to other other time traveling shows, it might propel the show to another level if there were more awesome ways QQ could have displayed/used modern technology/learnings to her advantage.
Yeah, it would have been nice if there was an ending for what happened to HY and XH cities! Even though we know that they are fictional places, we've grown quite attached to them, but it wouldn't make sense also for there to be any conclusion, as they most likely ceased to exist after QQ/Xiao Qian left, so it's quite the conundrum.
As for the fake rape scene, I agree that it's quite unnecessary and completely inexcusable for (modern) men to behave like that, but in ancient times, it was the painful reality that women have to live with. So I mean it's not unbelievable, but the scriptwriters of T&R could have definitely done better especially when the main theme of the show is gender equality.

The FL is Qing Rong (Madam Dong Fang) from L&R and her acting in L&R was kind of subpar, so it's deterring me from trying this show. I don't see how she will be a good main lead next to Cheng Yi, whom we all already know has amazing acting skills.

I second this. I felt that Hao Chen's ending was so weak despite being one of the main antagonists of the show.
idk, I was expecting something way more intense than just the Heavenly Emperor showing him the right way and he suddenly turned from this ego-maniac to a woke individual??
And agreed, they should have touched more on the parts that he supposedly is in love with GoW or XJ, but I don't agree about the past 9 lives part because that was all on XJ's heartlessness and is part of the story development for their eventual love in their 10th lifetime :)

Give it a try, it's super exciting and not slow paced at all. In fact, I'll say it's more exciting plot wise, compared to the other 2 dramas.

It doesn't really make sense to translate it like that, so it's been translated as Ashes of Love.
It's another super popular xianxia drama :)
